As soon as I knew it we were back where this whole mess started. The cafeteria. It was just as empty as before me and Grim went to chase after Ace. Now it's the other way around.
"Crap! he's darting everywhere"!
Grim had changed back into his normal form making him agile and quick.
"So he is the cat from the entrance ceremony"! Duece said
"Please don't tell anyone! Were trying to keep it a secret but he just doesn't understand"
Duece and Ace just nodded as we all focused on trying to catch Grim again. I lunged towards a spot where Grim was and fell on the table
"Oof"!
I caught my breath and looked around the room again.
"Hehehehe! Catch me if you can suckers"!
I sighed at him before opening my eyes again to see Grim sitting on top of the chandelier in the middle of the room.
"Grrr...climbing on the chandelier is such an underhand move! We haven't even learned magic to fly yet...Is there any magic we can do to-" I cut him off
"Just sit back and let me do it"
I sprinkled some dirt from my pouch and stood on top of it. Soon a beautiful cosmos flower rose up letting me go up toward Grim
He clung to the chandelier angrily "W-what?! You can't do that, no fair"!
I almost grabbed him until I heard ace screaming. Suddenly a flash of red hit me and the chandelier started to shake rapidly. Grim jumped off the chandelier as me and Ace fell down completely. The chandelier hit the ground. I gripped onto aces neck terrified for my life. He ended up on top of me and wayyyy too close. my face heated up as he got off me. His face turned red as we both looked away from each other. I turned towards the chandelier and immediately started to freak out
"HOLY SHIT" I rushed towards it remembering that Grim was standing on it.
"GRIM"!!!I went down on my knees almost crying
"What's up"? Grim stood next to me now in his human form.
"Oh thank goodness! Your okay"!!
I grabbed onto him smiling and dragging him down to my height.
"I can't believe you"! Ace said to Duece
"I-I screwed up! I didn't think about the landing"!
"Are you an idiot?! We caught Grim but if the headmaster finds out about this..."
And at this moment. We knew we fucked up.
"If I...find out"? A certain crow man said.
Ace spun around "Ah...headmaster..."
It was silent.
"Just.What.Exactly. ARE YOU ALL DOING"?!
Grim quickly got up which I guess made him dizzy.
"Ffnyaaa~ the rooms spinning..." He said, making the whole situation look a lot worse than it was already.
"You weren't satisfied with charring my statue so you decide to destroy the chandelier!? This is the last straw! All of you will be expelled"!
"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHH"??? Ace and Duece both screamed.
Me and Grim just stood there. it wasn't too bad for us because we weren't even enrolled.
"Please! Anything but that! I have things I have to do at this school"! Duece begged.
"You have nothing to blame but your own idiocy"! Crowley scolded.
"I will pay for the damages if I have to"!
Crowley sighed at us "This is no normal chandelier. This is a magical chandelier that runs on magic which lets the candles burn forever. It is a masterpiece we commissioned from the legendary meister of magical tools to make it. It's a treasured legacy that has been around the school's very foundation...Taking into consideration its historical value. It would be worth no little than a billion madol. But you still want to pay for the damages"?
Duece stood still not speaking for a while until he finally spoke
"A-A billion madol..."?
"But teacher..." Ace said, "Can't you just use your magic to fix it"?
"Not all magic is powerful. Moreover, the magic crystal, Which we call the heart of every tool, was shattered. No two magic crystals are the same. The chandelier will never be lit again."
The two boys then started to mumble
"How can that....be..."?
"Oh, crap...what am I gonna tell mom...."
All of a sudden Crowley spoke, "...I know, there's a way. There might be one way to fix that chandelier".
Ace and Deuce's attention was immediately focused on Crowley
"What"?!
"The magic crystal for this chandelier was mined in dwarfs mine. If we have a crystal of the same kind as the original, a repair will be possible".
Duece's face turned into a smile
"I will go find a magic crystal! Please, allow me to go" Duece finished in a begging tone.
"However, I don't know if the mine will still have any crystals left. The mine has been closed for quite a while and its very possible that all the crystals have been mined"
"I'll do anything to get my expulsion rescinded"!
Crowley sighed at Deuces's eagerness.
"...very well, I will give you one night. Come to me with the magic crystal by tomorrow, or you will face expulsion"
"THANK YOU VERY MUCH"! Duece said eagerly.
"Use the gate in the mirror chamber to head straight to dwarfs mi-"
Duece started running out of the room and towards the gate before Crowley could finish.
"Let's go get the crystal I guess".
Ace ran after him as me and Grim stood in the room awkwardly.
"Are....we supposed to go with them"?
Crowley just nodded at my question. And with that, me and Grim rushed to the gate
We soon got to the room. it turned out to be the room of the entrance ceremony. The place where an even bigger mess started.
"I can't believe....Why did it turn into something like this? Today is really not my day" Ace said to himself as Duece kept running to the mirror
"Now isn't the time for mumbling! Come on"!
The two boys jumped into the portal as me and Grim followed in. What a chaotic day this was. hopefully, I get to sleep tonight...
