Shouta wasn't surprised about what he found. Half of Hizashi's fridge was entirely alcohol. At least he cared enough to organize it in a way that made sense. He was a lot more tidy than Shouta would have imagined, considering that his personality was all over the place.

He decided not to comment on anything, simply grabbing a bottle of liquor and a few glasses from a cabinet near the fridge. He didn't plan on leaving Hizashi for the rest of the night anyway, and his cats had an automatic food dispenser, so why not. He never remembered getting drunk anyway.

Shouta sat the bottle on the table in front of the couch, pouring his own and sliding a glass and the liquor over. Hizashi poured his own, whistling along to the music that was playing.

He waited for Shouta to take the first shot, then followed suit. He leaned over to pour another one, giving it back to Shouta, grabbing the notepad off the table and scribbling.

"Sorry I can't entertain you more than this. I don't spend much time at home unless it's recording things."

Shouta shrugged, taking the shot that Hizashi poured.

"It isn't your duty to entertain me, Zashi. Don't worry about it."

Hizashi smiled his thanks, beginning to slowly attempt to inconspicuously scoot closer to him.

"If you want to be next to me, just ask." Shouta murmured, not facing Hizashi, taking another drink. At that, he was right on Shouta's side, hugging him tightly like he had earlier, leaning into him.

"Or don't. Either way, you get what you want, apparently." Shouta looked down at him, smiling softly at Hizashi's smug expression. "Why do you have to take advantage of this."

Hizashi laughed, taking another shot before writing down "Well it isn't my fault you're a big softie in there" and poking Shouta's chest where his heart was.

"Corny."

He chuckled to himself, grabbing the liquor and basically chugging half the bottle before Shouta forcibly lowered his hand to get the bottle out of his mouth.

"Do you plan on saving any, or are you hogging it all?" Shouta said, pulling the bottle away and taking his own long swig to Hizashi's amusement. He grabbed the notepad again, scribbling down the word "Hypocrite" and thrusting it in Shouta's face.

“Yeah, yeah, whatever,” Shouta mumbled. “We can just get more anyway. We’ll probably need it since alcohol doesn’t really affect either of us too quickly.”

Hizashi turned curiously to him, writing “It don’t do anything to ya?” with a bit of suspicion. Shouta shrugged.

“I really don’t remember being drunk no matter how much I’ve had.”

I think ya just forget it happening, remember that one outing with the whole staff? You were out of it!”

Shouta paused, taking another large drink from the bottle. “No, I don’t recall it.”

Hizashi laughed more, swiping the bottle with less accuracy than he had before, writing after drinking the rest of what was in it and setting the empty bottle on the table.

It’s finally hitting him, huh. Took over half of that thing to get him to the state he was in before I passed out last time.

Dude ya kept thinkin’ that the daruma doll was Toshinori!”

“I find that hard to believe. Besides, weren’t you super drunk then, too? How do you remember?”

I overheard Toshi telling Nemuri what happened since she was outta it from the very beginning.

Shouta shrugged, attempting to peel Hizashi off his shoulder so he could stand up. He looked up at him disappointedly, with a look that asked where he was going.

“To get another bottle since you chugged the last one.” he replied, feeling a bit dizzy but otherwise normal as he stood. “Try to share it this time.”

Hizashi waved him off dismissively, allowing Shouta to come back to the seat so he could lean on him again.

I take it you’re staying the night, then?” He wrote, his neat handwriting slowly getting sloppier.

“Mm-hmm. I don’t have patrol duty tonight, and hopefully no big things go down that I have to deal with. Even if I don’t feel drunk, I can’t risk it unless I'm forced to.”

Don’t forget the fact that ya are drunk when ya aint feelin it. Won’t be long till ya don’t even look at me when I’m talkin

“I’m sure,” he doubted, opening the bottle and drinking straight from it. “I’ll leave my phone out, though, just in case.”

Hizashi gave a thumbs up, getting up off of Shouta and walking over to one of the guitars he had hanging on his wall. Shouta watched silently, occasionally sipping the drink as he played perfectly in sync with one of the songs that the TV played. He assumed it was one of his favourites from how passionately and accurately he performed it, although it was much more mellow than he seemed to like in music. By the time it was done, he had a relaxed smile on his face, and he hung the guitar back up, writing on the paper.

Feels good, yknow?”

Shouta nodded, handing the drink off to Hizashi when it was about half-empty. He finished off the rest of it quickly, setting it down and plopping back on the couch, laying nearly entirely in Shouta’s lap instead of on his shoulder, facing up at him.

"Is this amount of clinginess necessary?" He huffed, clumsily pushing Hizashi off of him. Hizashi staggered up, standing up unsteadily with his hands up, mouthing "fine, fine." He grabbed the two empty bottles, staggering off to the trash to throw them away.

Shouta looked up at a poster on the wall, talking to it after a minute.

"Y'know I love you, Zashi."

Hizashi turned from the trash, pushing up his glasses.

You're a few feet off, pal.

He walked over to Shouta, who was still staring softly at the Put Your Hands Up! RADIO! poster that was hanging. Hizashi cupped his face in his hands, turning his head to face him.

"That's better!"

"Hmm..? Zashi? What?"

Hizashi shook his head, sloppily laying back down on Shouta's lap.

"Look at me, Sho! Cmon! Wasted already over there?"

"I can't hear you. Stop mumbling."

"OUCH!!" He started laughing again, Shouta looking bewildered.

"You're drunk."

As if you aren't?! He thought wryly.

Hizashi winked, hugging him tightly. Shouta paused for a second, then pulled Hizashi onto his lap again, so the two men were facing one another. He wrapped his legs around Shouta's hips, still hugging him.

Shouta stared at him, their faces barely inches from touching. He took the glasses off Hizashi's face and set them aside.

"Zashi?"

"Hmm?"

"I really do. Love you."

Hizashi put a finger to Shouta's lips, missing the first few times and poking his cheek in multiple places.

He swatted Hizashi's hand away, wrapping his arms around his back.

"I'm serious."

"Yeah, me too Sho…"

Shouta slowly moved his hands up Hizashi's side until they reached the back of his head, fingers intertwining in his hair.

God, He's so pretty… Shouta thought, pulling Hizashi's head closer to him until their lips met, both of them melting into one another.
