I was picking up my brother from his DND club
"Alright shit head let's go" I ruffled Dustin's hair walking into the basement
"Aw cmon we're not even nearly done-" Mike said
"Yea well we gotta be home by sunset" I said crossing my arms
"Just 10 more minutes" Dustin pleaded
I looked at all of them
"I'll drive you home" Eddie offered
"Eddie-"
"Just let us finish this up alright?" He said
I sighed "fine"
I went back upstairs and Mrs Wheeler had offered me some water.
"Oh thank you"
I took to water and drank it.
"They been going at it since 12pm" I said
"They do enjoy that game quite a bit"
I scoffed "you don't say"
"If you'd like, would could call your parents and have him sleep over so you could be on your way.."
"Hm let me ask him if he wants to stay."
I went back downstairs
"Dustin- Mrs wheeler offered to let you sleepover. Do you-"
"YES! TELL HER I SAID YES."
"Dustin!" I sighed shaking my head.
Mike laughed and Lucas smiled
Eddie was staring at me.
"Eddie you got a staring problem bud?"
"Huh- no no, I was looking behind you"
I looked behind me.
"The wall?"
He nodded
I chuckled and went back upstairs.
Mrs wheeler was already on the phone with my mom. She gave me a thumbs up and I was on my way.
Meanwhile...
"Your sister is something else man.."
"My sister is off limits" Dustin said
"Not if I make her fall in love with me" Eddie said
"Never gonna happen!" Mike called out
"Wanna bet?"
"No!" Mike said
"Ahhh cause you know I'm right"
"Dude if your going to make a move do it now, you've got some competition.." Lucas said
"Who?" Eddie asked
"Steve Harrington"
"Who the fuck, is Steve Harrington?"
"Dustin's other adult best friend"
"Dustin-" Eddie looked at Dustin and Dustin put his hands up surrendering
"I did nothing" Dustin said
"Y'know what, it doesn't matter, cause the moment I ask her out she'll be mine and Steve will keep him and his prickly fingers away from my princess"
Mike laughed, Lucas cringed and Dustin was quick to defend Steve.
Back to Y/n
I walked home during sunset and the road was quiet and empty as always, not complaining though.
I walked all the way home and when I got inside my house, my parents were talking to someone.
I went into the kitchen.
"Steve?"
He put the his mug down and grabbed me by the waist picking me up and spinning ending it with a hug.
"There's my favorite person."
"What are you doing here" I asked
"Hey wheres little Henderson"
"He's staying with the Wheelers"
Steve put his hand on his hips "figured"
"What are you doing here?"
"I came to see my favorite Hendersons of course!"
"Steve.."
my parents left to their room upstairs leaving us alone.
Steve smiled at me.
"Whatdya say you and me watch a movie tonight.."
"Oh- no I'm pretty tired Steve, how bout another time?"
"Cmon! I could drive us to movie theaters, the new Friday the 13th movie just came out!"
"Steve, just go"
"What? But you love those!"
"I know I'm sorry I'm just really tired today" I said pushing him towards the door.
Steve turned to face me and pulled me in by the waist and he moved my hair behind my ear.
"Y'know I'm only trying to spend quality time with you"
I know.. I said letting my head fall in his chest.
He put his arms around me.
"Alright, if you're really tired I'll go.."
"Thank you"
He pulled away and left getting in his car and driving off.
I locked the door behind him and went upstairs to my room practically dragging myself.
I get in bed immediately.
I turned on my tv and fell asleep watching tv.
Next day
That next morning I made breakfast for my family, and little extra just in case Dustin decided to come home early.
He did. Right as we had finished the door rang.
"I got it!" I said walking towards the door. I unlocked it opening it and there stood Dustin and behind him, Eddie
"Eddie did you sleep over too?"
He laughed "no just dropping him off"
"Ah, well thanks" I said opening the door wider so Dustin could walk in.
"I'm sorry my sister lacks manners, why dont you come in and join us for breakfast Eddie" Dustin said
"Dustin!" I was about to smack him
"Gladly" Eddie said letting himself in.
"Oh my god" I shut the door behind them
"I can't believe this shit" I said
Eddie and Dustin came to sit at the table
"I hope we don't bring any trouble." Eddie said sitting next to Dustin.
"Oh not at all, we were just finishing up" Our parents got up and left the table. I sat with Eddie and Dustin. I sighed as Eddie tried to create small talk.
"So I heard you work at that video game store down the block"
"Ahh did Dustin tell you" I fake smiled
"Yea, might stop by and see what ya got for me"
"Eh it's not much"
"I'll have to see for myself"
Eddie looked at his watch
"Oh- I gotta go, y/n meet me in the woods later- theres a picnic table dab smack in the middle you can't miss it, please be there, 5pm"
He left so fast before I could even respond.
"Dustin.. what was that about?"
Dustin shrugged.
I finished my breakfast and left Dustin at the table as I made my way to the living room to watch tv.
