~Well Deserved~

Jason was my partner for science, but obviously he wasn't here now...

I sat at my table and I felt like everyone was looking at me. I felt eyes on my back. I looked around and everyone was just minding their own business..
was I feeling guilt? No.. embarrassment? Maybe? I don't like being watched.. but I'm not being watched..

I sighed brushing the feeling off and opening my bag to get my materials out.

"Open to page 4 of your packets, we're doing a lab today." My teacher said.

Great. I thought to myself. If I do this alone now then I'm gonna have to work with him later outside of school to show him what he missed. Just perfect..
I sighed once more before taking out the materials provided to us by the teacher out of the bin at my table. There was a bin at every table.

"The instructions are on the paper, each step is carefully written, you need further explaining I'll be happy to help just call me over." My teacher said standing in front.

I looked down at my paper reading the instructions. My teacher came up to me.

"Hey- Hannah over there is also missing a partner today.. would you like to work with her?"

I smiled shaking my head "no thanks, I'm good here."

"No problem, let me know if you need any help"
I gave her a thumbs up and she left me alone.

I started experimenting and writing down hypothesis and whatever was on the paper.
Then I heard the door open. I looked up from my paper at the door.

Jason had walked in.. his nose was bandaged up and he had his head down looking at the ground.

The teacher pulled Jason to the side and whispered something to him but Jason only looked up to stare at me.
I looked away quickly going back to my work.
I continued working with the materials in front of me as Jason put his bag down sitting next to me.
I stayed silent and continued writing and working.

"Your just not gonna acknowledge me?" He said

"Sorry I'm focused on the work right now.."

"You broke my nose y/n"

"I'd say it was well deserved"

"You can't be serious" he said

"I'm sorry okay? You seriously pissed me off Jason.."

I said putting down my pencil finally looking at him.

"You know I'm always messing with you! Why'd you take it so serious?"

"Because sometimes you talk to much Jason.."

"I do not"

"You do, you really do.."

he scoffed
"I would never hit my girlfriends bestfriend but man are you a pain."

"I'm a pain? Okay Jason" I said picking up my pencil and getting back to work.

"Y/n.. you owe me. You fucking broke my nose.."

"Owe you what? An apology? I'm so fucking sorry Jason- sorry you deserved so much worse than a fucking broken nose."

"Now you're just being a jerk y/n"

"Yea, doesn't feel so good when it's done to you huh?"

He stayed silent.

"Page 4, instructions are there, you can start on your own Im not helping you." I said

"Y/n.. Cmon.." he pleaded

"No"

"I'm sorry, y'know I appreciate you y/n"

"No dude- stop trying to use me to do the work for you, you're on your own now.. you did this to yourself, prick."

I knew science wasnt one of Jasons strong suits. I took the chance to get back at him here.

"You got this Jason" I smiled patting his back.

"Y/n.."

I ignored him getting back to my work.

"Y'know, I told them that I did this myself, so that you wouldn't get in trouble."

I stayed silent

"Patrick wanted you to suffer the consequences, but I couldn't let that happen." Jason said

"Why" I said

"Cause you're my friend."

"Friends don't humiliate each other in front of half the school." I said annoyed

He stayed silent

I went back to working on my paper.

~Time skip~

After school I walked out of the building ready to go home.

A car honked its horn in front of me. I recognized the car..

the window slid down and Dustin's smiling face came from the back window and then Steve's peered out the driver seat. I couldn't help but smile.

"Guess who came to pick up their favorite Hendersons!"

"Steve you did not" I laughed

"But I did" he smiled

I felt someone tap my shoulder before I could get in the car. I turned around.

"Y/n." Eddie said

"Eddie..."
