Babysitting.

First Person (RINTAROU) Point Of View (POV)

Saturday 2:48 PM , grocery shop.

"I dont want to go!" mei argued, for the millionth time this day.

"mei, if you dont want to go you need to at least have a reason. Arguing like this will get you to nothing!" Now the people around us in the grocery shop had their eyes on us from our little argument.

Me and my highschool friends are planning a surprise party for our friend kita since we haven't seen each other in a while, and we badly needed a reunion as a team.

I never really assigned a babysitter for my daughter after what happened last time I left her alone, so i usually leave her with tsumu or samu since they're the only ones I trust with taking care of her (atsumu gets her in trouble). But now that atsumu and osamu are going as well, im gonna have to take her with me.

Mei wasn't a girl who would like to be surrounded by a crowd of people, but she was sometimes social.

"leave me at grandma and grandma's house then" mei said, adding a bar of chocolate into the cart in which she received a glare from me.

"if you wanna go to hawaii for a whole 5 months without your dad then okay I'll drop you off" I replied. She wanted to reply, but she backed away from what she wanted to say when she realized shed6be away from me for 5 months.

"you and your friends are giants dad! I would look like a little ant between you, and I dont know any of them except uncle tsumu and samu, and im sure they will be hanging around unle kitkat". kitkat? Isn't that her favorite snack?

"baby its kita not kitkat, and second of all who would watch over you if i left you? Because leaving you home alone is definitely not an option". I was desperate at this point. I would do anything instead of putting a babysitter to watch her. Trauma is doing its job, harshly.

She shrugged her shoulders, indicating that she dosent know. It's like as long as she doesn't go, its all good. I sighed, putting in a box of her favorite cereal into the cart.

"suggest at least someone who can watch over you then I'll think about it", if she gave someone valid then I would accept her idea.

I dont want to force her to do something she dosent want to or upset her, but its really a situation I can't control.

"hmm... Washio! No he's not really fun... Komori! No he hates me." All I did was listen to her and laugh, she looks adorable when she's focused.

"Miss y/n!!!" she said loudly. Miss y/n? Isn't that her teacher? The one that called me to pick her up on Tuesday? She always talks about her but I cant even ask nor speak to the teacher.

"mei what are you talking about". I was cut off with her running to the vegetable isle that was visible in front of us. I sighed and walked behind her, she probably saw strawberries, they're her absolute favorite. If you told her to eat strawberries for breakfast, lunch and dinner, she definitely wouldn't say no.

I reached the place to where she was running of to fastly, due to her being shorter than me meaning that she's slower in running.

She was walking off towards a woman. She was extremely gorgeous. It wasn't the first time I've seen a pretty woman but she was like, really really pretty.

"miss y/n!" mei said as she hugged her legs tightly like she didn't even see her the other day.

She was wearing such a good outfit, and I noticed her shoes that mei always talked about. She said they matched shoes by coincidence.

Miss y/n picked mei up and hugged her comfortably. "Hello mei! How's your weekend going so far?" she said with the nicest tone.

"Good! But dad is forcing me to go out with him because he dosent want to assign a babysitter for me" she told her beloved teacher, sticking her tongue out at me.

"baby I already told you I cant trust anyone to babysit you". I really want her to understand, its complicated for me to help her understand some of my strict rules about her surroundings and places due to the lie of her mother being "dead" just to cover up really bad shit for her own happiness.

"Mr. suna if you trust me enough I can take care of mei while you do your thing, im free today and I dont mind" the woman in front of me said.

Mei seemed really happy and safe around her with only 1 week of meeting up, and ive already spoke to her. She seems understanding and very mature.

I thought about it for a little while after watching mei repeatedly nod to make me approve, and decided to let go of my trust issues and let miss y/n babysit my daughter.

"fine, but please take care of her and if any problem happened, ask mei for my number she revised it well"

"alright great! Also someone told me you got a bit mad at me because I gave her chocolate for school breakfast... I apologize for that but can I treat her just today? I promise today only" she asked with a smile on her face, she had the prettiest smile ever.

"today only?" I looked at them both sending what mei calls "the dad glare".

"today only." they said at the same time.

And with that said, we both checked out our groceries, and I went home with miss
y/n following behind us in her own car. I wanted Mei to stay at our house instead of y/n taking care of her at her own house just to make sure Mei was comfortable in her surroundings.

I got dressed and walked towards the door, "I'll be back at probably 6 or 7" I announced.

"bye dad!" Mei hugged my leg tightly, and when she let go i bent down to her height, "dont cause trouble for miss y/n okay? If she needed anything you can give instructions of the house", adding a kiss on her cheek and a head pat, smiling as she nodded.

I got up and walked out the door waving goodbye with my hands, leaving my daughter alone with a woman for the first time in 8 years.

lets hope history dosent repeat itself, i really really dont want that.
