First Person (RINTAROU) Point Of View (POV)

2 years later.

"which one do i fucking get her?!" I asked
kiyoko. We're in a jewelry store, im planning to propose to y/n.

I really really love her and I want to spend my life with her, and I've been wanting to make her my wife for so long.

I got kiyoko with me because she's been her best friend for a while so she knows what y/n likes and dislikes about these stuff.

"rintarou you realize you have to be quicker? Mei and y/n are coming back from school in like 15 minutes and you need to get your shit ready." she said, making me even more nervous.

"is this one good???" i asked, showing her a ring that I think y/n would love. Its a very pretty ring.

"its y/n's dream ring rintarou! Now let's go for gods sake" she complained.

"fine!" i replied, paying for the ring and leaving the store.

We have already decorated the place. It was in the park where we started going out, it was decorated with pictures of us on the fairy light strings and flowers all around. It looked amazing.

I was gonna wait till its 9 until I propose since it was the exact same timing of our date, I thought it would be a good idea.

Currently im in my car driving kiyoko back to her house, but then y/n called kiyoko and I got nervous. Maybe she suspects something?

"answer and put on speaker" I told kiyoko.

"maybe its girl talk? You're not allowed to hear that." she replied.

"if its girl talk just remove the speaker", and with that she answered and put the call on speaker.

"hi kiyoko!"

"hey y/n, everything okay?"

"yes im just in the teachers room waiting for classes to end and im waiting for rin, but i have a question"

"yeah? what is it?"

"did you ever feel like tanaka lost feelings?"

"well... no? I don't know how to answer the question. Why? Is everything okay?"

"yes everything is okay, but i think rin is planning on leaving me? He's been distancing himself and all"

Kiyoko glared at me. I didn't know I was doing that.

"no baby he would never do that! Rintarou loves you soo much, you can trust me."

"i know i can trust you, maybe we'll go to the park today? We can talk it out together"

"yeah that's great! Talk to him and go to the park together!!"

Now this made my job even easier, I just need to take her there now.

"bye y/n, update me tomorrow!"

"bye, love you"

"love you too"

20 minutes later.

Me and y/n are sitting on the couch, each one of us doing whatever on our phones and mei was doing homework at the end of the couch.

"hey rin, can we go to our usual park today? I want to talk to you" y/n spoke up.

"yeah of course we can! Uh... mei"

"yes?" she asked, looking up. She physically and mentally changed a lot. She's 11 now and she's growing well.

"can you stay with tsumu and samu just tonight? We can pick you up at night or tommorow morning if you want" I asked my daughter.

Mei was in on this, I already talked about it with her yesterday and she was very happy about it, and she suggested to stay with the twins for the night so we can take our time on our date.

"you and mom are going on a date?" she asked.

"...something like a date angel" y/n explained.

"sure, i dont mind. As long as atsumu dosent have one of his bitches over". I still don't know how samu manages atsumu, he always has a new girl every two weeks.

"mei, no cussing." y/n warned.

"oh come on mom, you cuss a lot too! You say shit whenever you're doing something and you sometimes say fuck a lot at night" mei said, that last statement made me look at y/n and laugh.

"stop it rin" y/n said, hiding her face in my neck as she laughed with me.

"gonna go pack my bag for the night" mei said, getting up and going to her room.

Its now 9 at night. I just parked the car and I have y/n holding my hand as we started walking.

"okay so... I've been feeling that you're being really distant lately and I just...". She stopped talking, looking up at me as I called out her name, pointing at the fairy lights.

"they're so pretty!" she exclaimed, speed walking towards them.

As she got closer she noticed that the pictures found on the fairy lights are actually us.

"rin that's us.. it's our pictures?" she said, looking at the other pictures found.

I took the chance and bowed down with the ring box in hand.

"rin look its the day we- oh..." she stopped mid sentence, smiling at what her eyes just caught.

"we've been together for 2 years now, and you've made my life better since the day we met y/n... You genuinely have made my life so much better and I'm so grateful for you...

"will you marry me?".
