chapter 16!!

Hero.

First Person (YOU) Point Of View (POV)

"Mei? Please explain" I said through the phone.

"she's... she's been threatening me since yesterday. Dad I don't want to be there please I don't want to stay here". Suna didn't even take a second to breath, directly unlocking his car and running to the driver's seat.

I followed him and got in the passenger seat, wasting no time and directly driving.

"mei stay on the phone with us okay? Its gonna be fine" I assured the girl to make her feel better a little bit, hearing a light yes from her.

"mei do you know how to share location?" rintarou asked. Oh right we don't know the location.

"I... think I do, let me try" she said, and moments later rintarou received a location.

As we drove there, we kept giving some comfort words to mei so she dosent feel scared, the drive was 10 minutes away anyways.

"when we arrive open the voice note app and hide your phone just in case if we needed proof". I nodded, thats very smart and the idea is indeed great.

Mei suddenly hung up which made rintarou drive even faster. He was worried.

The GPS said we needed 5 more minutes until we get there- but with rintarou's stress the rest of the way took us 3 minutes.

He parked the car and we both got out of it to check on mei, even take her away if we had to. The government wouldn't be allowed to do anything because its practically protecting a child.

We knocked on the door, receiving no answer. We knocked and knocked again until the door finally opened.

"hi rin! Im sorry but it isn't Christmas Eve yet, you cant take her" Elle said, smiling.

"do not call him rin or I-", Rintarou stopped me from talking. The situation wasn't the best to teach her a lesson, and plus, if I threatened her that would be count as a bad influence to mei and the government wouldn't allow her to stay with us.

"where is she?" Rintarou asked.

"who? What do you mean?" she replied, acting innocent and all.

"Elle dont play with me, where is my daughter. where is mei."

"your daughter? Our daughter." This bitch has the nerve to call mei their daughter.

"oh please, you barley were around for her. We all know that you went to jail because you tried to fucking murder her. Elle you tried to slit a 1 year olds throat, you're out of your mind. After all those years and all the shit you did you suddenly want her and she's your daughter?  You definitely should fix your humor a bit because this is not funny at all. Tell me where the fuck is she." Rintarou said, well... I dont know what to call it. He had a certain tone in his voice. Anger but fear? I dont know.

"ohh that little girl! I dont think she's upstairs! Maybe you can check the street? There! Look!" she pointed at the floor.

What does she mean...?

Me and rintarou focused on the floor, noticing what elle meant.

I looked at rintarou's face, noticing that he was looking at me with tears forming in his eyes.

It was...

a small blood trail on the street.
