We landed in a large, basement-looking area with a low-hanging fog and puddles in various different locations. After walking around for a while, we discovered another group of wanderers resting on the ground. Using various items we had found in crates before, Jay and I traded with them. In the end we had: 10 bottles of Almond Water, two flashlights, a squirt gun full of pyroil, which we were told ignites on impact, a few pieces of bread and fruits and a few useless items the group refused to take.
Jay wore the squirt gun on his back as it was attached to a backpack-like container that kept the pyroil, and we set of with the rest of the stuff in my backpack. Somewhere during Level 0, I had removed all my school supplies from my bag since it would've slowed me down. I noticed that in this level, wanderers were a frequent sight around. When I asked a random person about it, they said, "Oh, yeah. This level is really chill so lots of wanderers come here to rest. If you're gonna explore The Backrooms more, I recommend going to Tom's Diner first to get something good to eat."
I thanked the man and we set out to find Tom's Diner. When we got there, Tom, who was the chef, was really friendly, and after we ate we gave him two bottles of Almond Water. We thanked him for his kindness and continued on, until Jay said, "If this is Level 1, should we go to Level 2? Or try to find a better way of exploring?" I told him I thought that we should go to Level 2, but needed a guide to help us.
Just then, a girl who looked about 16 years of age approached us and said, "Hey! I couldn't help but overhear that you needed a guide? Well, I'm Kash, and I can help you guys!" I looked at her. How long had she been here for if she was so confident of her knowledge? "Yeah, sure. Though, I gotta ask, how long have you been in here?" I asked her. "Last time I checked with someone, two years."
That shook me up. "Two years? How have you not found a way out already?" "I guess I'm just unlucky like that. Well, if you're done babbling, let's go!" Me and Jay started to follow her when I was pulled aside by a stranger. They wore a black raincoat that covered their face, black boots and black gloves, which looked really menacing since they were about a head taller than me. "There is an exit. They just don't want you to find it." They whispered to me.
I pulled away from them and ran to catch up to Kash and Jay, but their words still resontated deep within my brain. There is an exit...
We walked for a considerable amount of time, but not as much as in Level 0, and eventually we reached Level 2. From there, things became a little more...interesting.
