It was pure darkness. When I tried to turn on my flashlight, it only lit up the area right in front of it. "Why isn't my flashlight working?" I asked Kash. She explained that Level 6 was pure darkness, and for some reason no light sources worked on this level.

She told us to be quiet and to listen carefully since the only way out was to follow the sound of the waves to Level 7. We walked and walked, our hands on the sholders of the person in front of us so that we don't lose anyone here. Then, a voice rang out from ahead of us.

"Hey! I found a light switch! Go on, flick it!" The man said. "Just keep going," Kash whispered to me. "Ignore him. If you ignore him he won't bother you." We slowly walked past him as he begged us to flick the switch but made no movements to force us to do it, whch was good.

As we walked, my head filled up with thoughts about Level 5. How did the Beast know my name? What did Lexi owe him? Is Lexi ok? As these thoughts rushed through my head, I almost missed a turn. According to Kash, taking a wrong turn will have you stuck here forever.

We walked and walked, taking what we thought were the right turns, none of us daring to make a sound lest we misheard and took a wrong turn. At this point in time, I was starting to think that the Backrooms were nothing but a hellish landscape full of monsters and hazards.

We eventually found a staircase that lead us to Level 7, but we heard footsteps running in our direction. We braced ourselves for a fight, but a girl maybe aged 15 or 16 ran towards us, with a few bruises and cuts, crying.

"Oh, thank god! Finally someone else on this level! And look, the exit!" She collapsed onto the floor, and we started tending to her wounds and she explained what happened. "I'm Kylie, but you can call me Ky. I accidentally seperated from my group god knows how long ago, and have been stuck here ever since. Thank god I found you guys, though. I was running out of food and water and I couldn't find the exit."

We each took turns telling her our names. When she asked if she could come along with us, we were hesitant considering the last time someone wanted 'help'. Though after heavy whispering, we decided to let her come with us. We descended down the staircase, going from one hell to another.
