What shocked Chaewon was when he clicked the 'decline' button. "Did you really think I'd pick up you idiot." She got up, standing in front of him with her wallet in her hand. "I'm gonna pay." Jeno quickly shook his head and snatched her wallet.
"No it's fine I'll pay."
"Jeno it's fine I'll do it."
"No-" She glared at him, not too hard but hard enough to shut him up.
"Thank you." She took her wallet off of him and walked away with a smile.

Chaewon was scrolling through her phone, laughing lightly at something. "You're so cute." Jeno cooed as he pinched her cheek. The girl choked on her drink and lifted up her hands to rub her cheeks.
"No I'm not." She mumbled, acting fine but her heart was soaring.

"I think we should leave now. It's getting late."
"Yeah that's fine." They began to walk outside, the sun setting. Their shoulders brushed against each other ever so often. Without knowing, a small marble was rolling towards them, making Chaewon slip. She screwed her eyes shut, waiting for the impact yet it never came.

She slowly fluttered her eyes open to see Jeno holding her. Chaewon didn't speak, nor did Jeno, only the sounds of their breaths. "Are you okay?" The girl could only nod in response, getting up to stand up straight. "Let's race." She exclaimed, not giving Jeno a chance to process anything. And with that she was gone.

"Wait Chaewon come back! You could get hurt-" his voice was drowned out by her excited laughs. She turned around to see him chasing her. "Hurry up slow poke!" Chaewon said loudly with smile on her face. It all felt amazing. The wind blew threw her hair, making it a little messy but she didn't care.

She finally came to a halt and looked back to find Jeno catching up to her. "Why'd you run away?" He bent over, hands on his knees and panted.
"Just for fun." She shrugged as she patted his back. The black velvety sky encased them. It was just them two. The cold air nipped at her skin, causing her to shiver slightly.

Jeno noticed this and slipped off his jacket, putting it around her shoulders. He eyed her closely and hummed. The boy zipped the jacket up and pulled the hood over her head.
"Why didn't you wear warmer clothes?" He mumbled and she could tell he was concerned.
"Didn't think it would become this cold." She sent him a cheeky gummy smile which made him smile too.

"I better get going now." He gave her one last hug and stepped back.
"Night night princess."
