Another boring day at school, which meant a sleeping Chaewon. The teachers were used to it by now. "Wake up!" Bora hissed.
"Just a few more minutes."
"The teacher is going to tell us something important you idiot. Wake up." She shook her friend awake.
Slowly opening her eyes, Chaewon yawned.
"Better actually be important or I'm going to fight you Bora."

"Hey Chaewon. Can I talk to you for a sec?" She looked up to see Jeno with a small smile.
"Sure." The girl furrowed her eyebrows as he lead her to an empty classroom. "So what did you want to say?" She closed the door behind her and turned to face him.
"I wanted to give you this." It was a gold bracelet. Jeno already gave her this bracelet but she lost it.
"Oh my god, thank you Jeno! I've been looking for this. Was there anything else?"
Their eyes locked and he couldn't look away.
"No. Just don't lose it again." Jeno spoke, walking out of the classroom.
Chaewon felt happy he was finally talking to her normally but there was that bitter feeling in her heart.
"He wouldn't like you back Chaewon stop being delusional." She muttered to herself before leaving the classroom.

"What did Jeno want?"
"Just gave me my bracelet back. Nothing much." Bora choked on her juice, eyes widening.
"He actually spoke to you. Oh my god."
Chaewon let out a soft chuckle as she put a chip into her mouth.
"He's going to ignore me again."
"Do you still ask him about his day and stuff?"
"Yeah. But these days I'm not bothered."
Bora felt a presence next to her. "Jisung?"
Park Jisung. One of Jeno's best friends. Why was he suddenly here?
"Why are sitting here? Aren't your friends somewhere over there?"
"Only Jeno is in today and he's at football practice. Also don't act like I'm a complete stranger." He laughed at their reactions.
It was true, Jisung was also close with Bora and Chaewon. He just found his own friends but still spoke to them at times unlike Jeno.
They all fell into a comfortable conversation, reminiscing about some old memories.

"And then Jisung fell." Bora laughed so hard to the point where tears were in her eyes.
"It wasn't that funny." Jisung rolled his eyes but still laughed along with her.
"Yes it was. Then Chaewon was trying to speak English to the cashier but failed."
"My English is amazing! I've had Mark tutor me." She huffed before taking a sip of her drink.
"Really? Say something right now." The pair opposite her stared in anticipation.

(Guys the bold means they're talking in English)

"Ok uh. Hi I'm Chaewon, how are you."
"Everyone knows that! Say something else."
"Why don't you guys say a sentence? Jisung try and speak English then we'll see who's better."
"I cannot English-"
The girls burst into laughter at his failed attempt.
"I think we should leave English to people who can actually speak it."
"Ok but mine was better wasn't it?" Chaewon flicked her hair and winked, causing Jisung to fake gag.
"Do you guys remember when Bora-" Jisung started but was harshly cut off by a bag slamming onto the table - the group flinching.
"Damn can you not?" It was Jeno, of course.

His hair was drenched with sweat as it stuck to his forehead. His body glistened in the light, sleeves not even trying to cover his biceps.
"Jisung let's go." He mumbled and Chaewon could sense the exhaustion in his voice.
"I'll join you later." The latter replied, turning back to finish off his conversation with the other pair.
"No we need to go now. Coach wants you."
"Oh. See you later guys." Did coach want Jisung? Yes he did, but he told Jeno to do it instead. So why did he call Jisung anyways?
He felt jealous, jealous his own friend was close with someone he once was close with too.

The school day was finally over but Chaewon couldn't stop thinking about Jeno. Something was off about him yet she couldn't put her finger to it and it bothered her. "Mum! I'm going out. Don't forget to lock the door." She called out before stepping outside to go to her favourite spot. The cliff.  It helped to get a lot of things off her mind. Closing her eyes at the peaceful sound of the birds chirping. She looked up to see stars danced across the black velvet sky. Sucking in a sharp breath, she let out a deep sigh.
"Lee Jeno you really are something."
