It was around twenty minutes after Jeno dropped her off, Chaewon was sent out by her mother to the convenience store to buy a few things. "Couldn't she wait till tomorrow?" She grumbled under her breath, pulling her thin cardigan for some extra warmth. She walked into the familiar shop and began to scan the aisles for what she needed. The girl was walking over to the cashier when she recognised a familiar face.

"Jeno?" How am I managing to see him everywhere?

"Oh hey Chae, what are you doing here?" She was now sat in front of him with her keys on the table.

"My mum sent me to get some stuff, how about you?"

"Felt kinda hungry."

She glanced at her phone for a second. 8:45pm. God I need to get home soon and revise. "I have a new nickname for you." His voice snapped her back to reality.

"What is it? Better not be something stupid like-"

"Wony. Or spelt like W-o-n-i-e. Same pronunciation though."

She felt her cheeks heat up and a smile creeping its way onto her lips. Wony. It sounds adorable. "So do you like it?" He tilted his head and looked at Chaewon questioningly. The blushing girl repeated the name in her head many times. "It's cute. I need to give you a nickname now. How about Nono." The boy in front of her began laughing at the silly nickname. She shifted in her seat and leant forward. "You don't think it's perfect? Cause I do." Chaewon used her finger to move his long fringe away from his eyes, staring at his lips as she pulled away.

A dark red hue spread across his cheeks. Jeno was..flustered? Even Chaewon couldn't believe it. "You're so cute!" She cupped his cheeks firmly, squishing them together which made his pouty lips protrude even more. He jokingly pulled her hands away from him whilst trying to hide his reddened face.

After a little while of jokes and trips down memory lane, Chaewon realised it was getting late yet she didn't want to get up and leave. Jeno surprisingly felt the same. The faint song in the background, the calm silence they were both basking in, it was lovely. Chaewon internally fought with herself about whether she should confess to him or not. Sure they've known each other for ages so there was nothing to be awkward about, right? Wrong. Chaewon felt extremely anxious, hands sweating, looking everywhere but him.

"Are you okay Wony? Trying to get used to the nickname." He asked with his usual eye smile.

"Um yeah I wanna tell you something though." She could hear her blood pulsing in her ear.

"What is it?" He put his phone down as he was ready to listen.

"Well, I-"
