Unrequited love

The cobras sat around one of the rooms with the agents as they handed them all a wad of papers.

"There are many rules and regulations to being one of her or father's security teams." Seth mumbled as they each glanced over the long list.

"You aren't fucking kidding..." Vince mumbled as he attempted to flick through the sheets.

"If they're sat down anywhere we have to be minimum 2 feet away? Bloody hell are we even allowed to breathe the same air as them?" Charlie scoffed out.

"Do you even realise the power her father actually has?" Skylar snapped sarcastically. "The people that will harm her to get to him?"

"Why'd you think there's so many of us?" Nico gestured to the collection of them.

"We're not permitted to touch her unless it involves getting her out of a dangerous situation?" Ace asked as he read another rule and looked up.

Bruce laughed and nodded. "No more drainpipes for you lover boy."

"The rules of our relationship with her are pretty clear." Evans added. "Though as I'm sure you've seen, she sometimes pushes the boundaries."

Seth nodded. "You should have seen Salvatore's face when she said she loved us." He said with a small laugh.

The other agents all had small smirks, imagining just how uncomfortable it must have made Mr Stone Cold.

"Him and Eyeball still aren't back..." Billy mumbled as he looked out the window.

"Salvatore's teaching methods are..." Seth started but paused. "Unconventional."

The cobras looked a little blank.

"He's an asshole." Skylar confirmed.

The agents all nodded in agreement.

"Eyeball is okay though right?" Charlie asked quietly, looking between them all.

"Oh yeah he won't actually kill him." Skylar said as he relaxed down into the chair, placing his feet up on the desk. "He'll just make him wish he was dead."

The cobras exchanged a small glance.

"I'll tell you one thing though, if your mate don't come back a completely different person, I'll eat my foot." Marco mumbled.

The cobras once more exchanged a look, they had all been somewhat worried about Eyeball. They knew he had spent his life being beaten about by his dad and knew that Salvatore would have no issue in doing the same.

"We're basically at their command?" Jack asked as he continued flicking through their rules.

Bruce nodded. "Heard Miss McClaren had Hugo tell her the same story twice in a row a few nights back." He laughed slightly.

Skylar nodded as he looked up. "Y'all might wanna brush up on your Greek mythology."

Ace's attention had been peaked. As with every other cobra.

"Any one in particular?" Vince asked quietly as he kept glancing over towards Ace.

"Yeah the one about-" Seth started his sentence but Ace cut him up.

"Hero and Leander."

It was now the turn of the agents to share a glance as they looked back at Ace.

"How'd you know?" Marco asked, looking him up and down.

"Lucky guess." Ace mumbled as he shrugged.

"Quite funny really when you think about it." Skylar said, breaking the small tension that had been created. "You know? With her code name and all?"
