I decided to write a new fanfic; because my other one kind of lost the plot :$ Once I get some new ideas, i'll continue writing it :-)
Hope you enjoy this one though xo
'So how was everyone's day?' My mum looked at me, then to my brother then back at me. My little brother just stared down at his white plate, leaving my mother to look back at me. I sighed, thinking back to the busy college corridors. And of course, my asshole of a teacher, Mr Piper, giving me grief for not completing my coursework.
'Fine.' I muttered into my bowl of tomato pasta. My mum didn't know much about me, but she wasn't thick.
'Brianna?' She said, placing her cutlery on the washed-out brown table cloth. Her hazel eyes burnt into mine.
'Seriously, Mum. It was fine. Except Mr Piper being a little twat.' I mumbled. Finn splutterd as he heard the curse.
'Brianna!' My mum shouted.
'What? I tried explaining that summer was coming up. And i'd be leaving college to go to Venice soon anyway. But he wasn't hearing any of it. He still wanted me to complete that stupid coursework. Why does it matter anyway? He's only to grade it then i'll take it home and bin it. That's what you did with Noah's.' I sighed. Noah was my older brother. He was six years older than me, making him twenty-four. He cleared off a couple of years ago with his girlfriend, Stacey.
'You know that's not true.' My mum picked up her fork and pierced the piece of pasta.
'Well it is. I saw you. You just threw all his hard work into the bin and waited for the binmen to get rid of it before Noah asked where it was. I saw you. Don't lie.' This time, I threw my fork on to the table cloth, frowning. My mum looked a bit taken back. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Finn staring at us both in anticipation but also excitement. He loved it when me and my mother fought. Because it usually ended up with me swearing and then getting sent up with my dinner. It'd been like this ever since my father died. I won't go into detail, but long story short; he was a police officer and the thief had a gun.
'Don't get cocky or i'll..'
'Save your breathe.' I picked up my bowl and cutlery and stormed up the stairs, holding back tears. I threw that bowl on to my bed and watched as pasta bounced on to my lilac bedding. My back fell on to my white wood door and stared at my room. The back wall was a light lilac, similar to my bedding. And my other walls were a bright white. There was a desk in the far corner of the room, with a picture of my father in a gold frame on beside it. A bright white mac sat in the corner, its screen lighting up my dark room. On the otherside of my room was a large pine dressing table with a tall mirror sat behind it. It had a small crack in the corner from my last arguement with my mother. She insulted Noah, so I got angry and aimed my hairbrush at her. It missed obviously and hit the mirror.
Noah and I had always been best friends. He was my older brother. And I was his baby sister. He looked after me no matter what. But after Dad died, he started ignoring me. Then he met Stacey and after a few months of dating, him and Stacey moved away to America. He said that London left too many memories of Dad. I tried to come with him, but he told me that he needed to restart his life. It was a very emotional time for our family. Especially as Noah was the 'father of the house' once Dad died. My mum begged him to stay. Finn begged him to stay. I begged him to stay. But with a quic apology, he left and we haven't actually heard from him since.
I fell on to my bed, throwing my food to the floor, feeling sick. I was only eighteen. But I was desperate to move out.
