I buttoned up the black shirt and shoved my own T-Shirt into my locker and slammed the door shut.
'Hey.' I whipped around and saw Niall leaning on the door frame, his arms crossed, with a smug look on his face. My cheeks flushed a bright red. I looked down and checked that all my buttons were done up before looking back up at Niall, with wide eyes.
'N-N-Niall. How long have you been here?' I felt my cheeks burning with every word. Niall laughed and stepped away from the door frame. He walked towards me.
'Calm down, love. I've only just arrived. Just wanted to see if you got your locker.' He walked over to me, making me step back a bit.
'So..have you been thinking about what I said? About what I said about Sabrina? You aren't mad at me, are you?'
My mind shot back to about ten minutes ago. So Niall didn't hate me? He wasn't out to get me? Or was this a cover up? Looking up into his eyes; I didn't fancy staying to find out.
'Erm, right. Look, I should really get to work. Phil will be..' I stepped towards the door.
'Stop.' Niall's arm shot up and shoved me back. 'Stop..acting like i'm some creepy pedo on the street. If you're going to be working here, you're going to have to stop avoiding me.'
'Can I go? I..erm. Have work.'
'So you've said.' His arm fell down and went into his other, crossing his arms and staring at me. His bright blue eyes pierced mine. My eyebrows caved inwards as I copied his gesture, staring back. A laugh fell from his lips and his arms fell to his sides.
'I guess i'll see you later then..' He stepped to the side and I slipped past him and shuffled to the kitchen, where I saw Phil. He looked shorted than usual, but his uniform clinged to his chest just as before.
'Brianna. You're late.'
'I'm so sorry. I. Erm..'
'Sorry, Phil. My fault. I was just giving a little extended tour.' I saw Niall slip in the small kitchen entrance behind me, his irish voice echoing in the small room. Phil looked at me, and then at Niall, his eyebrows narrowed.
'Right. Well Niall you should know better; but because Brianna's new; i'll let you both off. Just don't let it happen again. Now, Brianna. We have some orders for you to fill out if you'd like to follow me.' I gave Niall a quick appreciative smile before following Phil towards the large counter.

'Hey Brianna are you coming tonight?' I snapped my head towards the group of employees. Sabrina's head rested on her hand, and Niall just stirred his diet coke with his straw, watching it as though it the most amazing thing in the world. My hand was grasped around my almost empty glass of lemonade. The group were all staring at me with wide, happy eyes.
'Wait, what?' Niall's head snapped up at the sound of my voice and he smiled at me. I gave a quick smile back and then turned to a very tan girl named Sophia, (as it said on her name badge.)
'It's Aimee's birthday and her folks are out. She's holding a huge party, and as the tradition goes; all employees are invited.' Sophia's bright emerald eyes sparkled as her face lit up with excitement. 'You have to come!'
I looked over at Niall who just rolled his eyes and turned back to his drink.
'Uhm, sure then. I'll come. No worries.' I muttered. Niall looked up, frowning. I just shrugged my shoulders and looked down at the table, outlining the wood pattern with my finger.
'I'll come.' An Irish voice spoke up.
'Niall? You never come. I thought they were 'immature' and 'pointless.' Sabrina replied.
'I'll give it a shot.' I felt Niall's eyes look at me, as my head continued to point to the table.
'Great! I'll text you both the details.' Sophia said, happily.

'So you get insulted after one day, the you come back after being invited to a party? What the hell could have happened in one day?'
'A six hour shift is a long time to work.' I sat in my pink polka dot onesie, staring at my Mac Book. A bowl of doritos sat beside me on my dressing table, and my legs stretched out on my bed. Aidan's face moved slowly on Skype, but I could still hear him. My digital clock just switched to 4:30pm.
'And you're not scared that something will happen?'
'Like what?'
'Well I don't know. But it's a party. There might be drugs, alcohol. What if you get drunk or stoned? And you get left there all on your own?'
'Oh pack it in, Aidan! I'm going with Niall.'
'Oh, not that Niall kid again. Who the hell is he anyway? You won't shut up about him.'
'His name's Niall Horan and he just works with me.' I muttered. My hand reached into the bowl and I shoved a few doritos into my mouth.
'Wait Niall Horan? Does he have blonde hair? Irish?' Aidan's eyebrows narrowed and he squinted at the camera.
'Yeah; messy hair. It looks dyed, but sure. Why?'
'Don't go to that party, Brianna. Please. Niall's trouble. He was arrested a couple of years ago.' Aidan's eyes filled with desperation, a slight tone of fear in his voice.
'Oh pack it in, Aidan. I know you don't like him, but making up rumours is just rude. Look, I need to go get ready. I'll text you. Bye!' I clicked the hang up button before Aidan could say another word. My blackberry lit up beside my laptop. I picked it up and stared at the text.
Hey. It's Sophia! The party starts at 7pm at 6 Willow Street. It's about two minutes away from the Sandwich Shack. See you then! x x
A cold shiver ran up my back as I read the text. I'd never been the most sociable person, never mind the biggest 'partier'. I was nervous and a tad scared for this party, but something in my head couldn't wait for seven o'clock.
