For the first time Steve could actually say he's never seen Eddie this speechless before. His eyes were wide as if a ghost was in front of him. You could probably hear his heart beating from a mile away, small drops of sweat became evident on his forehead.

"Y-you really mean that?" Eddie was now the one to stutter. He didn't want to get his hopes up for an empty promise. Steve stayed silent for awhile before responding. Obviously he jumped the gun by making such a foolish promise that he knew he wasn't going to keep.

Steve wasn't going to tell Eddie the harsh truth through. He told him what he wanted to hear.

"Yeah, I mean every word." Steve smiled as genuinely as he could. Shockingly Eddie believed it despite being the one who knew when someone was lying. He couldn't contain the excitement that was on his face, Steve's heart felt a tug while watching him.

"Well how about today then? Just us?" Eddie asked bashfully. He didn't want it to sound weird but he couldn't help himself.

Steve didn't have any plans so all the excuses he was trying to go through in his head was all coming back blank. Robin was the first person that came to mind. Eddie couldn't invite him if he had work and there was no way he'd question Steve about doing his job. Unless if he asks Robin and that wouldn't be good because she knew his schedule. Steve threw that excuse out the window. When nothing else came to his mind, Steve had to stand on the promise he made with no take backs.

"Sounds good." Steve said simply. It was hard for him to find something else to say and that was all he could come up with.

Eddie continued to smile at the interaction between them. "Ok see ya at eight." He said happily before exiting the bathroom.

Then he was gone and Steve had to deal with the guilt he was feeling. Everything in his body wanted to avoid tonight and anything after it. He was confused. Lying to Eddie was something he couldn't bring himself to do. So he had no choice, he was going to see Eddie at eight. Steve knew he was making this into a bigger deal than what it really was. Just two guys hanging out and that was it. Right?

"Just us."

Adding his infamous jean jacket to his outfit and spraying a little bit of cologne. Steve was finally ready to go out and hang out with Eddie. He owed him that.

Steve drove rather slow. If anyone else was in the car he would not be this hesitant. Any scenario that went through his mind of what tonight could turn into he thought it. He pulled up in front of the trailer and the lights being on confirmed that someone was in there. Steve took a deep breath before exiting his car.

He approached the front of the trailer and knocked on the front door. Steve didn't have to wait long before the door swum open, almost hitting him. Eddie looked different in this light, his hair looked fluffier than usual, you could see the glitter in his black nail polish that added to his aesthetic, and a sweet scent that was emitting off of him. It was kind of making Steve crazy.

"Harrington, you alright?" Eddie smirked to himself watching Steve stare and not even trying to hide it.

Steve snapped out of his thoughts. "Uh... yeah." He didn't know what made him think this way about Eddie, was it normal to think this way about a guy?

"Well don't just stand there. Come in." Eddie moved to the side and let Steve inside. Everything looked the same like it did last time Steve was here expect for a few things. The tv already had a movie playing, all of Steve's favorite snacks were on the living room table, the lights were slightly dimmer too.

"Wow." Was all Steve could say. Eddie went through all this trouble for them to have the "perfect" night to hang out together.

"You didn't have to do all this." Steve was so fascinated by the amount of effort into all the little things. Eddie shrugged and plopped onto the couch. He acted as if what he did was the bare minimum and Steve thought that was absurd.

"Ah, it was nothing. Plus I couldn't have done it by myself." Eddie admitted to Steve. He had little bit of help with this set up and he was so glad he did.

Steve took his word for it and sat on the couch with Eddie, keeping distance between them. The whole night they talked about all sorts of things. Some of it was the movie they were watching in and out, a little bit about school, and majority of it was them getting to know each other better. From the outside it would be easier to assume they having nothing in common just by their outfits and music taste alone. The honest truth was that they've never met a person who related so much to them.

"Man, who would've thought we'd be here." Eddie said in a semi joking way. He knew Steve was very characteristic and that was one of his special charms. No one could resist him even if they tried too.

"I know, it's kind of crazy. I've never had this much fun in years." Steve couldn't stop laughing. Tonight was not at all what he was expecting. He didn't want to admit but Eddie wasn't so bad.

"Same here." Eddie said softly, his tone was sweet. He eyed Steve longingly. Keeping in mind how close they've gotten on the couch through out the night. Eddie was close enough to see every freckle that was in Steve's skin. Steve wasn't aware of what was happening, the moment he turned towards Eddie the space between them was slowly closing.

Steve felt Eddie's breath on his lips and everything around him started moving slowly. A part of him wanted to know what it felt like to kiss someone that wasn't a typical cheerleader that he was used too. Eddie slid his hand over Steve's thigh gently. 'This is really gonna happen Steve thought.'

"I-I think it's getting a little late. I should probably go." Steve said in a quick manner and dashed out the trailer. He didn't get to see Eddie's expression but he could only imagine.

Steve told himself that Eddie meant nothing by it, the lights were dim, they were in a good mood, and it was probably just sleepiness that got to them. Obviously that was the reasoning behind these crazy thoughts and temptations. Steve would never kiss another dude especially... Eddie.
