"He told me Goodnight. That basically means never talk to me again." Steve was complaining to Robin and Nancy about what happened the other night with Eddie. They were hanging out in Steve's room since it's been awhile since they've done that. Also he needed someone to dump his guilty conscience on.
"Not exactly." Nancy added. Steve always could count on Nancy to see the bright side of things, he was really glad to have someone like that in his life.
"I mean what happened at the party was pretty bad and it's kind of you're fault." Robins input never failed to make him feel shittier than what he was already feeling but in this case he'll let slide because he deserved it.
"Robin!" Nancy gave a glare that could kill. Robin put her hands up in a surrendering gesture.
"No Nancy she's right. Eddie didn't need to prove anything at the party, I guess I wanted too." Steve admitted out loud in the moment. He was trying to prove that Eddie wasn't "weird" to other people when that didn't matter. All that mattered was Steve didn't see Eddie as any different than anyone else.
The girls looked at Steve with pity and sadness on their faces. If this was anyone else Steve wouldn't have cared this much but for Eddie he did.
There wasn't a real reason why he was going out of his way to make things right of course the simple reason was because that was his friend, that didn't seem like a good enough reason either and Steve couldn't figure out what it could be.
"I'm probably going to regret this," Robin began. "I guess I'll try to talk to him and see if he'll hear what you have to say."
Steve almost feel off his bed after hearing what Robin said. He was filled with joy and bliss throughout his entire body.
"Robin if you do this I owe you big time." Steve would do anything Robin requested if she helped with this situation. Even though she didn't see it as a favor to Steve but to Eddie as well and the reason for that would be more obvious soon.
"Ah don't make promises you can't keep." Robin joked making Steve laugh while Nancy stayed awfully quiet. It was noticeable to Robin and Steve, they were worried about Nancy.
"Do you guys think one day Eddie will like me?" Nancy asked with her head looking down at her lap.
"Of course he will, if somehow he can manage to forgive me he can definitely find it in his heart to like you." Steve smiled at Nancy to comfort her and Robin did the same.

Robin told Steve that he should go to Eddie's trailer around 6:00 pm on a Saturday to make things right. That's exactly what Steve did, he was standing in front of the same door that was closed in his face and he was quickly dismissed.
Steve didn't get his hopes up if anything he was expecting to say his final goodbyes and move on with his life. Luckily that didn't happen, when Steve knocked on the door he was greeted by Eddie who looked the exact same way he did last time he was here. This time Eddie wasn't disgusted with Steve anymore he actually was glad to see him. Obviously he wasn't going to admit that.
They sat in silence for awhile on each end of the living room couch. The only sound that could've heard was the slight blowing sound from Eddie as he let smoke escape his lips and filled the area with a faint smell of weed. Steve didn't mind it, he actually missed the smell of it and that might make him seem crazy.
"So..." Steve broke the silence between them. "I'm really really really sorry." Steve didn't want to wait any longer he needed to get this off his chest.
"And I forgive you." Eddie responded calmly. It was entertaining to see the look on Steve's face when those words echoed in his ears. Almost as if he was having his heart beating so fast for no reason for the past few weeks.
"Wait really? I thought you were mad at me?" Steve was confused by how fast Eddie forgave him.
"I was but after the party I wasn't anymore." Eddie confessed while blowing smoke out of his mouth.
Steve wasn't believing what he was hearing and how stupid he looked right now. He was already forgiven after the party so everything he did afterwards was just what he wanted to do to keep Eddie as a friend.
"So you're telling me you already forgave me after the party?" Steve asked and hoped he was hearing incorrectly. Eddie nodded his as a small smirk appeared on his face.
"Yep. I could never exactly be mad at you Harrington." Eddie could see a slight pink shade across Steve's face as he was taking everything in.
Steve felt slightly embarrassed at his actions and the way he was all over the place like an idiot.
"So I begged Robin for her to give me your assignments so I could give them to you for no reason? God that's so embarrassing." Steve covered his face with his hands trying to hide his redness. Eddie thought this image of Steve was so rare and he was lucky to be experiencing it right now.
"It's not embarrassing... it's cute." Eddie let the words come out of his mouth without even thinking. Now he was the one turning red from embarrassment.
Eddie was expecting Steve to respond with something harsh and end up back to being awkward again. Even Steve expected himself to say something totally different than what he really said, and honestly he couldn't explain to anyone why he said these next words.
"You think it's cute?"
