Byers's Home 1984
Crouching down by Steve's head I go to check he's breathing. I sigh in relief knowing he's okay, he's just knocked out.
"Okay here is what's going to happen," I said turning to the kids. "While I'm getting Steve cleaned up, you all are going to find the items we need to go to the hub." The kids looked at me in shock then looked at each other.
"Wait. You're actually going to allow us to go to the hub." Mike said smiling
"Yes, the plan is a great idea, BUT-," all the kids groan "You are all going to do what I say, no back talk, your safety comes first," I said sternly. All the kids smiled, laughing, finally looking at me before rushing over and knocking me to the ground in a hug. Laughing I pushed them off.
"Okay here is what's going to happen."

Billy's Car
Sitting in the back with Dustin we placed Steve in the middle of us, he is still knocked out. Glancing up to the front seat I smile, Max is driving, Lucas is giving her directions while Mike is holding onto the gasoline container. I look over at Steve holding the ice pack in place, feeling angry that this happened to him, but I feel more anger towards Billy. I just can't wrap my head around Billy's violence. Feeling movement, I look at Steve who is pulling his head away from the ice pack.
"2?" Steve mumbles, I smile at him.
"Hey buddy..." Dustin says making Steve look at him, "It's okay. You put up a good fight. He kicked your ass, but you put up a fight. You're okay."
I watch as Steve's eyes move around the car. First, looking at Mike then at Lucas, and finally at Max.
"Okay, you're gonna keep straight for a half a mile, then make a left on Mount Sinai." Lucas says to Max. I smirked watching Steve's eyes widen, but I quickly dropped my smirk as I watch him try to move.
"What's going on?" Steve panicked while fumbling for words. "Oh, my God!"
"Just relax. She's driven before." Dustin said trying to reassure Steve
"Yeah, in a parking lot." Mike said looking behind him at Dustin.
This freaked Steve out even more than before, Dustin tried to calm him down, but it didn't seem to work. Mike kept throwing this situation in my face, claiming this is an I told you so. I rolled my eyes at how everyone is acting. Children.
"EVERYONE SHUT UP." I yelled making everyone go quiet. "Steve you are fine, the kids are fine, everything is fine." I said making him look at me.
"Oh, wait, that's Mount Sinai. Make a left." Lucas said
"What?" Max asked
"Turn left. LEFT!" Lucas screamed. This made Max jerk the wheel to a hard left, tires screeching, and everyone yelling. This is going to give me a headache, and we haven't even made it to the hive mind. The car swerves too much as it smashed into a mailbox then max corrects it by swerving back onto the road. Max floors it, going faster than before.
