March 26, 1986
My hand grabbed the edge of the gate as I kicked my way up trying to pull myself through. I reached out hoping to grab something to pull my way up. I felt a vine off to the side, in a hurry, I grabbed it and wrapped it around my wrist. The vine pulled me up and tried to wrap more of my arm as it dragged me out of the gate. When I was able to get my feet out of the gate I pulled back on my arm. The black vine pulled back as if we were playing tug-a-war with my arm. Feeling fed up and wanting to find Steve I caught my whole arm on fire making the vine shriek in pain. I shook off the dying vine as I looked around for Steve.
"Steve!" I yelled out hoping to get a response but got nothing.
I looked around but stopped when I saw something wiggling on the ground. I squinted at the object and froze. "Steve!" I yelled I ran over to him. As I got closer, I noticed two bat monsters biting into his stomach and another with its tail wrapped around Steve's neck.

Without thinking twice, I blasted one of the bats off his stomach with fire. Steve looked at me with a look I've never wanted to see again. he looked at me with such agony and pain, but it made me want to vomit.
Before I could attack another bat, an oar came and knocked off the second bat on his stomach. "Hey there." I look up and there's Nancy holding the oar, with Robin and Eddie standing behind her with the same weapon. With no hesitation we all took action. Nancy and Robin start hitting the bat with its tail wrapped around Steve's neck. Robin stands on its tail while Nancy beats it with the oar. I started to get frustrated with how long it was taking them to kill it. I reached down with my hands on fire to grab the bat, so I can burn it alive.
"Shit!" Eddie yelled followed by the growls and screech of more bats. I look up to see Eddie fighting a bat, I look back at Steve I grabbed the tail burning the tail off the bat.
"I'll be right back." I said to Steve before I took off running to go help, Eddie.
"Nancy, behind you! Watch out!" Eddie yelled I looked over my shoulder to see a bat flying right at Nancy.
"Oh, come on!" I yelled as I shot at the bat that Eddie was fighting, killing it.
"Thanks!" Eddie yelled after me as I turned back to Nancy and Robin to help get the bat off of her.
