SAGEs POV

Today would be the day the guys would finally come back. If I wasn't mistaken they should be here by 3pm Florida time.

Me and KJ had arrived here in Florida at 9 in the morning. We both left Germany at 5 in the morning, it was a 10 hour flight, so technically in Germany time it was 3pm but Florida time it was 9 am if that made any sense.

It was finally 1996. The next year and hopefully a lot was gonna happen, good things of course. I didn't want bad things happening now would I?

KJ had eventually stayed the night since I forced him to, he took the guest room and now we were just eating breakfast we were slowly adjusting to the time because of jetlag obviously.

"What're you gonna do when you see him?" Asks KJ I knew he who he was talking about it wouldn't take lots of brains to guess.

"I don't know" I sighed out "I guess I'll just have to try and .. not make things awkward?" I said more as a question.

Our breakfast was interrupted by a phone call I got, I went to the ringing and answered it with.. my go to line.

"Hey this is sage, how can I help you?" I spoke into the phone "did fame really change you that much?" I heard a familiar voice joke.

I couldn't pinpoint who it was though, I thought about it for a while until I was snapped out of my thoughts "sage?"the person on the phone snapped me out of it again.

"Yea? Sorry who is this?" I ask again "wow nice to know you remember your own brother" the familiar voice spoke sarcastically.

"Dean! I missed you so much I'm so sorry I haven't been able to call the past few days I was.. busy and you know" I explained as a grin formed on my face

I looked towards KJ who was quite literally just devouring his food "so how is it?" Asks dean a slight chuckle following.

"Good, I mean its quite tiring obviously but you know, how was the move?" I asked, I knew they had moved this December and since it was January already I assumed they had already fully moved into the UK.

"It was good, I mean everything went smooth, we've got a bigger house than the one we had before here" dean says nonchalantly "you got a new house?! And no one thought to tell me?!" I faked an offended expression.

"Sorry for your loss dear sister, we had forgotten about you just like how you forgot your own brother" he jokes "I haven't talked to you in a while I'm sorry" I rolled my eyes.

"Any guys in the picture?" Dean asks teasingly "uhh yea.." I smiled to myself "AND YOU DIDNT THINK TO TELL ME THIS ?!" Dean suddenly yells in a joking mad manner.

"Well you didn't tell me about the house too!" I laughed "yea but a house is a house a boy is a boy" he tried explaining.

"That says nothing" I laughed at his awful explanation "ok well, name and address and uhm ... Age" dean insists.

"His name is nick he lives in the same house as me and he's turning 16 on January 28" I answered "THE SAME HOUSE?! Hold on.. is he part of the backalley guys.. or what was it?" He asks mostly to himself.

I burst out laughing and go to correct him "backstreet boys" I rolled my eyes as I laughed at my brother's stupidity "hey by the way how's Kai?" I asked

"Haven't seen him yet we just fully moved 2 days ago" dean explains, I make a sound of understanding.

"Sage! Clean the dishes!" KJ calls out "sage. Tell my why the fuck KJ is at your house" dean says in a protective voice.

Dean had always been protective over me and KJ mostly because he didn't want to have to choose a side to be on if we ever did get together and break up, which is the reasoning for the difference in the way he treated the news of me being with nick and me being with KJ in the same house so differently.

We carry on this conversation for quite a long time since the last time we spoke was maybe 8 months ago.

I also said hi to my mum and dad we were gonna talk for longer but I heard a car arrive outside "ouuu loverboys home" KJ said in a sing song tone.

"Loverboy? I wanna meet him!" Dean exclaims "absolutely not" I retort as I go up to my room, I knew how awkward it would be with nick so I decided I'll avoid him the best I can.

"What why not?" Asks dean "because we're not on the best of terms right now.." I trail off "what'd you do?" Asked dean.

"Ok wow great of you to assume it's my fault" I roll my eyes "is it not?" He questions "well... It is but nevermind" I roll my eyes once again.

"SAGE! COME HERE! LOU'S CALLIN'!" I hear KJ call from downstairs "I need to go do work things now, tell me if Kai comes over I wanna talk to him! Bye!" I said, dean says bye also and hangs up.

"SAGE!" KJ yells again "HOLD ON!" I grunt out, I get down and search for Lou "wheres Lou?" I ask "nowhere I just wanted you to come down" KJ laughs.

"Bitch" I muttered "SAGE!" I hear from the kitchen I go to turn but before I even can I feel a heavy wait on my back.

"AJ!" I warn as I nearly fell "hello to you too" I groan out "hello! I missed you! Nicky especially" he nudges making me laugh awkwardly.

Soon all the guys greet me except nick, then someone comes through the door complaining about how heavy his bag is.

I don't think you needed more explaining to know I was talking about nick "oh, uhh sage hi" nick gives a small smile as tension rises in the air.

It was currently me, AJ, KJ, Kevin and nick in the living room Howie and Brian were in the kitchen I give nick a small wave and silence fills the room.

Kevin coughs cutting the awkward tension "I'll take your bag" he offers just to get out of the situation "I'll take the other one" KJ says too.

"Uhh I'll take... The invisible bag with me then.." AJ says since there were no more bags left to take up making me roll my eyes.

"Can we talk?" Asks Nick a pleading expression shown onto his face "ok" I say softly, those 3 words gave me anxiety.. its either we were to be on good terms or bad terms with those three words, no in between.

"Alright come on then" Nick leads to the guest room.
