SAGEs POV

Today was Nicky's Birthday, me and the guys had planned to go bowling, Nick didn't know tho. We decided, well.. Howie decided that we should pretend to forget his birthday. Howie mostly suggested this since he wanted revenge on Nick and his pranks, we all agreed and so thats what we were going to do.

"Hey did you tell KJ about the bowling?" Asks Kevin as he saw me going down the stairs "oh shit no not yet" I rush to the telephone beside Kev "language" Kevins monotonous voice rang "sorry" I muttered as I went to dial KJ's number.

It rang a few times until he finally picked up "What do you want?" KJ's voice was deeper than normal so I was assuming he just woke up since it was still 9 in the morning "Morning to you too" My voice a little grumpy as I rolled my eyes.

"sage, greetings. Now what do you want?" He repeats "Right, well its nick's birthday and we planned for bowling, wanna join?" I invited, KJ had became a part of our little friend group so now we'd invite him over when he didn't have anything to do.

"Oh shit I forgot its the kid's birthday, what time?" KJ queried "what time again?" I ask Kevin as I block the 'mic' part of the phone "I reserved for 2-5pm" Kevin responds "ok" I uncovered the 'mic' part of the phone.

"Hey ok so 2-5pm is bowling we might get dinner after probably" I add on "ok then I can go, nothing fancy right?" KJ asks "mhmm, alright then I'll let you continue sleeping see you later" I say goodbye "bye bye see you" He ends the call.

"Im assuming ehh coming with?" Kevin says "Yup" I respond "Nick is old" I joke as I chuckle "are you calling me old?" Kevin faked being offended "maybe" I giggle shrugging "Morning" I hear someone greet.

Birthday boy! "morning" Me and Kevin greet nonchalantly "sooo, anything interesting today? Like maybe a celebration" Nick grins as he joins me and Kevin on the couch "Uhh no I don't think so.. why? Did we forget something?" I questioned.

I had to keep up our plan, I felt bad but a plan is a plan.

Nick opened his mouth but shut it after thinking otherwise on what he was about to say "Nothing never mind.." Nick trails off his voice soft as he got up to go back upstairs, once I heard the door close I released a breath I didn't know I was holding.

"Kevin! I feel so bad!" I cried out putting my head onto his shoulder "Its fine just.. a few more hours about..." He trails off checking his watch "4 hours" Kevin continued "too long" I whined out.

"Its alright" He patted me on my shoulder "you'll get through, maybe" He mumbled the last part making me roll my eyes and lightly smack his arm.

"Happy morning to everyone on this beautiful earth" Someone dramatically goes down "Morning rok" I greet as I lay down not he couch my head in Kev's lap "morning sage rage gauge beige" Brian sits on my legs making me groan "you're one gigantic bitch" I groaned out.

"Quit being dramatic" he slapped my leg "whatever" I rolled my eyes playfully "so, Lou allowed us to go for a trip somewhere, I wanted to personally go to England it seems so nice there" Brian brings up.

We had finished recording the songs needed to be recorded during this break so Lou allowed us to go where we wanted, he said he'd pay for one trip only though since it would be less of a hassle so we agreed we'd just go as a group.

"England? What the hell would we do there?" Confusion evident in my voice "go to The Cavern Club in Liverpool obviously" Brian said in a duh tone "The Beatles first performa-" Brian started as I cut him off.

"I know I know im not that stupid" I laughed "Have you been there?" Kevin joins in our conversation "yea I have" I replied "I'm from Liverpool remember" I nudged "you never told us that" Kevin defends.

"true" I shrugged.

Finally it was 2 pm, Nick had been looking disappointed and sad the entire day, I'd try to hug him to comfort him in some way but he'd avoid it, I felt extremely bad!

"Nick!!! Come on we're going somewhere" I say as I enter the room "no" Nick replies his face was burr into a pillow, exactly what he's been doing the entire day.

"Please, come on I promise its worth it" I jump onto his back making him groan "fine" Nick sighs his sadness and disappointment evident in his sigh and voice, he wouldn't be sad for long though.

"Actually wait lets go with the other guys too" I suggested as we went down "But I thought it was only you and me that would go for a date" Nick pouts "Come on it'll be fun and we need Kevin to drive"

We waited for the others and finally we made our way to the bowling alley, we reserved the entire thing so it would only be us inside.

"Here we are" Kevin announces "Ooo the bowling alley!" Nick exclaims less saddened by previous events of today, aside from he beach, he loved bowling also. "Wait why aren't there people is it closed?" He asks.

"Nope probably just no one wanted to bowl" I shrug "ok.." he says unsurely "come on" I drag him in. Inside there was a simple cake and snacks the cake had 'happy birthday nick' on it but we had 2 cakes knowing one of the boys will possibly smash the cake on his face.

"Happy birthday" I whispered in his ear as we all went inside, giving him a peck on his lips, his face showed an expression of surprise "I thought you guys forgot" Nick said in a joking angry voice.

"Howies idea" AJ laughed "had to get you back" Howie shrugged, Nick just flipped him off causing us to laugh "Im not late am I? Oh and happy birthday Nicky" Some went in, that someone being KJ.

"KJ! thank you!" Nick says as he goes to bro hug him "Here you go happy birthday bro" KJ says as he hands nick $200 "you didn't have to but thanks" Nick smiles "Well? are we going bowling or what?" I impatiently ask.

"Yes we are and im going to win" Nick smirks as he walks up to me "mhmm sure you will" I say with confidence "Of course I will" He shrugs nonchalantly.

"I told you I'd win" Nick laughs as he jumps around "I was a close second so shut up!" Exclaimed sticking my tongue out "No I was" KJ rolls his eyes "You were last sage" AJ laughs at me "shut the fuck up" I stick my tongue out at him.

"real kind to your elders aren't you sage" AJ rolls his eyes "definitely!" I sarcastically remarked as I laughed.

Soon we finished with bowling and was finally home. "Sage lets go swimming" Nick whispers to me "alright" I shrug I mean we had nothing else to do and I wasn't too tired and it was his birthday so.

it was 11 pm already, so it was almost an end to the day, finally we go in the pool, me and nick were just standing on one end of the pool looking up to the sky "I love you Nick, happy birthday" I spoke softly as I stood on my tippy toes giving him a kiss 

"I love you too Sage, to the stars and beyond" He kissed me, butterflies erupted in my stomach and at that moment I knew he was the one. He was a star in the fans eyes in terms of being the famous Nick Carter of Backstreet Boys, but to me he was the star that shined the brightest among all and lead me to a path of brightness in my life.

He was my star.
