Young Love (America Chavez)

Chapter 4

Tony gets up out of bed at 11 still exhausted, sad not seeing Pepper beside him agian. He hasn't been sleep well without Pepper. Since Pepper got attack on her last business trip Tony has been worried. He would have gone with her but he needs to stay with the kids and be ready if the city needs the avengers. She has been gone for 2 weeks on a bussiness trip. She has been taking control of almost the whole Stark industries, doing more and more of Tony's work because he's been working on putting suits around his world.

He puts on a shirt and jogging pants and walks out to the common room to get some food. He sees the theatre door open a crack, he peaks his head in and sees Sage and America cuddled together, still asleep.

He walks in making sure to clear his throat loudly. Sage opens their eyes sleepily seeing their dad and shoots off the couch. America falls onto the couch, and Sage quickly hits her on the shoulder to get her up.

America stands up almost falling over and smiles at Tony awkwardly. "We were watching a movie!" Sage quickly says.

"Thats all!" America adds.

Tony looks at the two and rolls his eye before just walking out of the room. The two teens fall back onto the couch and start laughing.

"Good morning." Sage says after calming down. America smiles and kisses Sage.

"Goodmorning."

"Wanna get some breakfast?" Sage asks.

"Sure." Sage heads out first to the common room and America heads out a little after. Sage sits between Steve and Natasha, while America goes all the way across the room beside Bruce.

Tony noticed and snickers to him self with a smirk on his face. Thor asks what's funny and Tony just brushes it off like it's nothing.

Everyone has breakfast until Pepper walks into the room. "PEPPER?!" Tony says shocked, he quickly standing up running over to her and picking her up into a hug. "I didn't think you'd be home for another week!"

"Hey Tony, I got some things pushed up so I could come home early!" Pepper says, she waves at Sage before turning her attention back her husband.

Tony's eyes are tearing up and Pepper pulls him out to the hall to talk more privately. "Hey, hey, what's wrong?"

"I can't sleep without you, I'm to worried something is going to happen again. I love you so much!" Tony says desperately.

"I love you too, but I have to go for work. I can get the trips shorter but that's my job. That attack was also a one time thing." Pepper says.

"Hirer someone else, ya just quit your job be safe here with me?"

"I can't do that Tony. I'm sorry. I don't have another trip for a couple of weeks so we can make the most of the time together okay?"

"Okay.." Pepper and Tony go back into the common room and sit together on an empty couch and Tony holds his wife close.

Pepper introduces herself to America and asks her a couple of questions to get to know her.

Later the two teens head to the training rooms where Natasha waits for them. Natasha wants to help improve America's hand to hand combat. She had heard about her little fight with Wanda.

Natasha shows the simple things, how to punch, how to dodge and how to block. America caught on pretty fast and was put up against Sage.

They trained for a while, Sage wins most of the fights but America got some good hits in giving a couple of nice bruises.

America ended up going against Natasha once and ended up on her ass in a couple of seconds. It's was really funny and Sage ended up laughing so hard they fell over.

Natasha left the two to clean up as she went for a shower. "That was really fun!" America says.

"Ya, I'm so surprised how fast you learned." Sage says.

"Same, though Natasha is really good. Where was she trained again?"

"The red room. Not a good place." Sage explains shaking her head.

They clean up the training room and head back to Sage's room.

They get pillows and a couple of blankets and spread them out in the ground. Sage goes and gets some snacks from the common room and comes back.

"So we got all-dressed chips, milk chocolate, fuzzy peaches and the two monsters that I was able to sneak in a while ago." Sage explains.

"Cool." The two spread out onto the ground and get the projector turned on. They watch a movie snuggled together covered in blankets. Sages head is laying on America's lap as she plays with their hair.

"Merica?"

"Hm?"

"Will you go on a date with me? A real date?" Sage asks looking up at her.

"Of course! Can we go to the park?"

"We'll have a picnic!"

"Perfect." America says, before going back to playing with their hair as the two watch the movie.

The movie finishes around 9 and they're both tired from the training and decide to go to bed. They clean up agian and head into the hall to say goodnight.

"We can go for the picnic around 3 tomorrow." Sage says.

"Okay, well goodnight Sage."

"Goodnight." Sage pulls America into a hug, there's a rattle in the vents and Sage kisses her quickly. The two go into their rooms and get ready for bed.

Clint crawls in the vents looking for Thor or Tony to scare. He looks through a vent opening and see Sage kiss America. He quickly scrambles away to Natasha's room.

Clint had come back to the tower only a couple of hours ago only telling Natasha so he could get some really good scares in. He was at his home with his wife and kids before, it was one of their birthdays.

He gets there and falls throw the vent opening "Sage kissed America! Sage kissed America!" He says quickly.

"What? Slow down." Natasha orders.

"I was looking for someone to scare like always and I saw Sage kiss America." Clint explains.

"Are you sure?" Natasha checks. She isn't shocked on what she's hearing but it's still sort of surprising.

"Yeah, pretty sure."

"Well we keep quiet until they come out to us. Okay? Don't let your big mouth get the best of you." Natasha says calmly. She hides just how excited she is about this.

"Don't worry."

Tony gets into bed where Pepper waits for him. He moves over and rests his head on her chest, snuggling into her getting as close as possible.

"I really do worried when you leave." Tony says.

"I know but you just have to get used to it."

They lay in the dark for a while as Pepper comforts Tony. The lights go out on Peppers order. She can tell Tony is falling asleep. He's so sleep deprived it's hard for him to stay awake.

"I love you, Pep."

"I love you too, Tones."
