Ivy staggered up the sidewalk until she got to Shannon's electric gates and lent against one of them to type in the code.
It beeped and a red light flashed, to signify that she had input the code wrongly.
She tried again with no such luck. The gates still staying firmly in place.
Groaning loudly in frustration, she went to punch the code in for a third time, but Shannon's voice behind her stopped her.
"Let me do it. If you do it wrong again the alarm will go off and we'll have the cops round." He told her, gently reaching around her to type in the correct code.
Ivy stood there with her arms folded across her chest and huffed.
The gates beeped again, the light flashed green and they slowly started to open, exposing his drive to them both.
Shannon made to reach out and take her hand, but she brushed him off and stormed up the drive to the front door and made to open it.
"Having the keys to open the door might help Iv." Shannon called out to her from behind. She turned and looked at him from over her shoulder. She was flushed in the face from the wine; her lips still stained a little burgundy, and some hair had worked its way loose from her ponytail.
He walked up the steps and gently moved her out of the way to reach the lock and unlocked the door, holding it open for her. She walked under his arm and flounced down the hallway; Shannon watching after her.
Stomping up Shannon's stairs, he followed behind Ivy as she made her way to his bedroom, stumbling on the top step and falling forwards.
Shannon's arms shot forward and he grabbed her around the waist, managing to catch her just before she was about to faceplant onto the hallway rug.
He held her there for a moment longer; all the fight seemingly gone from her now. Slowly he turned her in his arms to face himself and looked down at her. His hazel eyes flaming with desire for her; rich brown boring into vibrant green.
"So are you going to tell me what all this is about?" Shannon asked her softly, moving a hand to cup her face and brushing a thumb over her cheek.
"Do you not-" She hiccuped, "not get it?"
"What? Get what Iv?" He searched her eyes, moving his hands down now to hold her upper arms.
"I dont want to be just another-" She hiccupped again, "number to you Shannon."
"I don't understand why you'd think that Ivy. You're not just another number to me Ivy, you've never been just another number."
"Do you buy all your whores lingerie then Shannon?" Ivy snapped at him, and shrugged his hands off her, making to turn and walk off to the bedroom, but Shannon's lightening speed made him fly out a hand to grab hers.
"SHA-"
He cut her off by placing his lips to hers; they tasted fruity and mildly still of wine, but he pushed through this and focused on how soft they felt against his own.
Grasping both of her arms in his hands he maneuvered to push her backwards; Ivy stumbling as he did so, but again he caught her.
As she staggered backwards, her back hit something hard and she stumbled once more. Shannon swiftly moved to press his body up against hers, holding her there, positioning her arms either side of her head and pinning them by the wrists.
Leaning his head down, he lightly pressed a kiss to her neck, working his lips upwards to stop at her ear.
"No, I don't buy all my whores lingerie. Infact-"
