Ivy posed with Jared ontop of the rock plateau, taking a few photos with him before she took some of him goofing about, pretending to fall off the edge etc.
By the time they had finished Ivy was in hysterics, it was just what she had needed to cheer her day up after her shit show of a morning.
Jared uploaded a couple of photos of him and her and one of him messing about to his Instagram stories, and almost right away his phone was blowing up with notifications.
Ivy decided to add one of her and Jared to her Instagram as well, with the caption, 'Just like old times 🙂'
She knew it was risky as Jared was so famous, but she'd honestly just wanted to share a photo of her and an old friend having fun.
They hung out at the top for a bit longer before Jared suggested they went and got lunch together.
"I know this amazing Bistro in West Hollywood we can go to."
"Jesus, am I going to get to see Jared Leto's unhealthy side after all?" Ivy teased him.
"You wish."
"Well, I know you'll never cook anything for me, that's for sure. Shannon said you always manage to burn anything you try to cook."
"What else has my brother been telling you about me? I thought you two hated one another anyway, so what's happened to make you two so chummy?" He stood up and brushed himself down, wiping his hands on his purple leggings.
"Nothing. I guess just all this time we've spent together for the video helped us bury the hatchet and we've matured since then I'd like to think."
"Well I'm glad you two seem to have kissed and made up."
Ivy had just unscrewed her bottle of water and had taken a sip, when she choked on it at hearing Jared's last words.
Suddenly, there was a pinging noise and both Ivy and Jared pulled out their phones to check them. They had been so caught up in hiking and chatting that Ivy hadn't heard her phone ping to signify that she'd had a new text sent 30 minutes ago.
She looked down at the screen snd saw that Shannon had messaged her. Jared was busy with his own phone; fingers flying everywhere, so fast in fact that she was surprised he didn't spontaneously combust.
It was lucky that he was, because Ivy didn't really want Jared to see that she was messaging his older brother.
"I see you're having a great time with my brother.
Watch he doesn't fuck you and leave you."
Ivy rolled her eyes at his message. Talk about immature. She knew it was only because he was hurt, but she wasn't prepared to be trying to have a conversation with someone who was being that petty.
She couldn't help it though, and wanted to get the last word in, so she replied.
"Fuck off Shannon. I'm prepared to talk about this if you'll act maturely about it.
Jay invited me on a hike with him up in Laurel Canyon if you must know."
He just replied with a sarcastic thumbs up and Ivy growled in frustration. She hadn't realised she'd done it outloud until she heard Jared ask,
"What's wrong?"
She snapped her gaze away from her phone to his direction.
"O-oh nothing. It's fine, just something to do with work."
