Five people were currently thinking about the quickest way to get out of Roanoke.
"How hard did you hit him?" Ginger asked looking down at Oliver.
"Hard enough I guess." Freddy said.
"We need someone to look at his head." Charlotte told them examining the bleeding wound on the side of Oliver's head.
"I think I know someone." Ginger said standing up straight again.
"You should go get them then." Charlotte said. Ginger nodded faintly. She tore her eyes away from Oliver and bounded out the door.
"We're screwed." Aaeesha repeated. Her head was buried in her hands and her forehead rested against the wall.
"You've said." Freddy said rolling his eye's.
"How did he even find this place?" Aaeesha asked staring at them once again.
"I don't know." Freddy shrugged. Aaeesha again turned back around and slammed her head against the wall.
"We're screwed."
"Stop saying that!" Freddy snapped. Aaeesha twirled back around and marched straight up to Freddy.
"You don't get it do you?" she glared "This guy is your daddy's right hand man! Soon enough everyone in God's Republic will know about this place and how it burned."
"This place is going to burn anyway." Freddy growled.
"How dare-"
"You don't get it do you. My dad's got everyone on his side up in arms. Everyone in this whole town is just itching to find a place like this. You're lucky only this guy found us."
Aaeesha stared at him blankly drawing her lips into a fine line. She looked to be on the verge of crying. She straightened out her hijab before walking straight down the hall and into the tattoo parlor.
"Did you really have to say those things?" Henry asked him.
"It was the truth Baker." said Freddy. Henry knotted and unknotted his fingers.
"Maybe it's not. Maybe we can do something."
"Like what?" Freddy said walking up to him. "Start a revolution?"
"We need to move him." Charlotte said abruptly.
"Why?" Freddy nearly yelled.
"This place is too....open."
Just like that the two boys silently picked up Oliver Martinez, Henry taking his feet and Freddy his shoulders, and carried him into the library setting him in the middle of the floor.
No more words were spoken after that. Henry sat on the couch while Freddy aimlessly looked over the books on the shelves and Charlotte sat back down next to Oliver.
They stayed that way until Ginger came back the person she knew. Only it was not just a person, but persons.
Toby Henderson walked into the library on his heels was his twin Julia. Their presence spurred Henry and Freddy to walk over to where Charlotte sat.
"What are they doing here." Freddy hissed.
"He's the person I know." Ginger said nervously playing with the strings of her hat.
"Why is she here then."
"They're twins they go everywhere together." Ginger chuckled. Julia kept her eyes firmly on the ground with her arms crossed in from of her. With her green turtle neck, brown knee high skirt, sickly yellow stockings, and leather boots she was not showing an ounce of skin.
