It was a long time before the snow stopped. Five days to be exact. Luckily Aaeesha had never been low on food and they still had an abundance of water, so the eight of them got along fine, in that sense anyway. In that time Oliver had confessed his undying love for Charlotte six times, Aaeesha swore more than most can count, Freddy and Henry did not make up, and possibly the worst of it all the artificial suns did not turn back on. So they were left in the dark and cold which isn't much different from how it was everyday.

On the second day of the blizzard, Charlotte found Ginger alone in the tattoo parlor, smoking something that made Charlotte cough.

"Hey Charlie." Ginger said blowing the smoke out of her mouth. Charlotte watched it swirl up to the roof. She silently sat next to Ginger her back against the wall.

"So I heard Oliver's in love with ya." Ginger said tapping some of the ash out of the small cigarette with her fore finger.

"I guess." Charlotte said shrugging while bringing her knees up to her chest.

"Love is a crazy thing." Ginger chuckled. They stopped talking for awhile with just the noises of Ginger breathing in the smoke and the faint yells of Aaeesha yelling at whoever. It was dark and Charlotte's breath was so visible it looked like she too was smoking a cigarette.

"Are you in love with Julia?" Charlotte asked suddenly. There was a look of surprise on Gingers face until it was covered with a smile.

"With Jewls? Yeah...I think so, but don't tell her that she won't look at me in the eyes for days." Ginger laughed taking a long breath of whatever she was smoking. Charlotte rested her head on her knees as she watched Ginger. Ginger's smile was like Henry's....a lie, but Charlotte didn't say anything.

Charlotte pursed her lips.

"I hate love." Charlotte said quietly.

Ginger took another long inhale of the cigarette, her smile gone. Ginger looked up at the ceiling like she was looking at non-existent stars. She breathed and watched the smoke fly to them.

"We both know that when people hate something, it's usually because they're afraid of it." Ginger said with a smile.

And Charlotte left.
