"I can't believe that shithead just fucking ran straight outside! Who the hell does that! It's a fucking blizzard!" Aaeesha screamed. She had been in the kitchen when Freddy ran straight out the door.
All seven of them were up now because of Aaeesha's worried yelling.
"I'm sure he didn't go too far Aaeesh." Ginger said trying to calm her down.
"I'm sure he just went outside for a breather or something." Julia added.
"In a fucking blizzard! That fuckers probably dead!" Aaeesha yelled.
"No need to get too worked up over it, I'm sure he-"Oliver tried, but was cut off when Aaeesha yelled at him.
"Shut up you asshole before I give you another bump on the head!"
"Aaeesha! Calm down!" Julia scolded.
"Don't tell me to fucking calm down you b-"
"I'm going after him!" Henry yelled over them. This made them all silent.
"What?" Julia asked shocked.
"I'm going after him." Henry said again.
"You can't be serious!" Julia yelled raising her voice.
"Listen Baker I know you're close to him and all, but I don't-"
"He won't survive in his own!" Henry yelled at them. "I'm going out there and you can't talk me out of it."
"Sweetface you can't-"
"H-He's r-right." Toby said cutting of Ginger. "S-Someone needs to at least t-try to bring h-him back."
"But we can't lose two!" Oliver argued.
"Three." Charlotte muttered grabbing on to Henry's arm. "I'm going with him."
"Charlotte you can't go!" Oliver yelled in a fit of panic.
"He's right Charlotte you can't go." Henry agreed. Charlotte slid her arm down and intertwined their fingers.
"It's dark out there Henry. I'm going to be by your side." Charlotte told him. "You can't talk me out of it."
No I one argued with them because they knew they would lose. So Henry and Charlotte put on as many clothes as possible.
"Hey...maybe we can go on a date or something....you know when this is over." Oliver said to Charlotte as she put on
her yellow scarf.
"Maybe." she sighed turning away from him before whipping around and brushing her lips on his cheek. Oliver nearly fainted.
Henry smiled at the scene while he slipped on his boots.
"Here." Ginger said holding out his letterman jacket. He took it with a smile and slipped it on. Her eyes were misty. "Promise me you won't die sweetface."
"Cross my heart and hope to...well not die." he smiled. She giggled and pulled him down into a hug.
"Give him a kiss for me." she whispered in his ear. Henry's face turned red and she laughed even more.
Charlotte grabbed his hand and nodded at him.
"Goodbye then....wait no....see you guys later." Julia said a smile lighting up her face. Henry smiled back at her. He put his hand on the door, but stopped to say to Charlotte:
"Whatever happens...don't let go of my hand alright?"
She bit her lip and nodded again while pulling her scarf up to her nose.
And they left.
The oil lanterns they had did nothing against the darkness that surrounded them. It barely helped light up their path and they were unable to walk in a straight line. They tripped and stumbled and ran into things. They had no idea whether they were in the woods or right in the middle of town.
They were scared.
Finding Freddy seemed hopeless.
And it was so cold.
They didn't waste energy talking. They probably wouldn't be able to hear each other anyway. They just kept holding on to the others hand and searched for the third one that was missing.
It seemed like hours before they found him.
Freddy was unconscious by a free or what the assumed was a tree. He was wearing little to nothing and his face seemed blend in with the snow.
Henry and Charlotte both started to take off articles of clothing and putting them on Freddy. Charlotte took off her kittens and put them on his hands still holding them even when they were on.
"Freddy!" Henry yelled holding him tightly. "Freddy please just wake up!"
The wind picked up more and Charlotte's fingers became numb. She was still holding Henry's hand, but he had little warmth to share.
"Freddy! Please!" Henry begged on the verge of tears. He felt weak. "Freddy..."
"Henry?" Charlotte asked her voice laced with worry.
That was the last thing he heard as black started to fill the corners of Henry's eye's and his breathing became slower.
Henry Baker fell asleep.
