Darry walked in with the saddest expression on his face. The lady walked in after. "First Pone runs away then they take my kid sister." Darry said.

"Wait, Green Bean is going?" Two asked and I held his hand. "I'm afraid Sweet Pea will be finding a new home. This house isn't practical for a 7 year old. The good news is that there is a young couple looking to adopt so she won't be put into a foster home but instead a permanent home." She said. "What if I don't want a new home?" I say on the edge of crying.

My eyes watered so much it wasn't clear to see until the tear finally left my eye. "I'm sorry but you can't stay here. This is one of the most unstable houses I've seen in a while." She said disappointed. "What's so unstable about it? The fact that there are no parents or the dishes in the sink?" I ask. "That is no way to speak to an adult! Go get your clothes packed." Darry snapped. "I know the feeling of being in-owned now I guess." I walked into my room.

I threw everything into a duffle bag. All my clothes easily fit. I walked out setting my bag by the door bawling my eyes out.

"We'll pick you up tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. So that leaves time to your fare wells." She said leaving.

Soda was crying, Darry looked upset, Two looked the saddest I've seen him in my life time and, Dally looked angered, more than anytime before. I kissed Darry on the cheek and water fell from his left eye. He kissed me on the cheek and held me tight. I cried into his chest. "It will be alright." He said running his fingers through my hair. "This will be good for you. You need a family helping you get further instead of hanging around us as we hold you back." He said. "That isn't true." I say and he doesn't say anything back.

I let go of him and go to Soda. "Sweets." He said, lifting me up and hugging me tightly. "I'm going to miss you so much every day I live." He said. "I'm so sorry Soda." I say remember how that one girl left him. "It's alright, you can't help it." He said kissing me on the forehead. I don't ever want to go, I never want to leave Soda's arms. He set me down.

I look at Two, who is on the urge of crying. I'm so used to Two having the same tough emotion. The reaction to something is the same as everything else. "I'm going to miss you, Green Bean." He hugged me. I cried more.

"It's not, you guys are loosing one person you care about. I'm leaving everyone I've ever loved." I say. It's completely true. "You aren't loosing is for ever, we will still see you. Not as often but, we will." Soda sad and I nodded.

Lastly was Dally, he looked so mad. As if the emotional pain he is feeling is shooting through every hole in his body but still not going away. "I can't believe this is happening. I can't believe this is fucking happening!" He said, shocked, angry, and seems to be somewhat confused. "I'm sorry, Dally." I say looking at him as he sits at the couch. "Don't be, you don't want any of this." He said looking away.

Steve came in and instantly felt the mood. "What's happening?" He asked worried. "Sweet Pea is getting assigned to a new family." Darry answered. "What do you mean?" Steve asked looking at me. "I mean they looked more into our family when Johnny and Ponyboy ran away. They don't think this an appropriate home for her." Darry explained. "The fuzz is really out to get us? Ruin our life, praising socs. They need to back off." Steve said. "No they don't! Sweet Pea needs a good home and if this isn't good enough then so be it! She deserves more than we have to serve!" Darry said mad. "Don't say that!" I say. My life has been turned upside down and they decide to argue.

"Steve, don't go acting like you care! You've never given a hang about me! You'll probably be the happiest man alive when I'm gone!" I say. "Shut your trap because you don't know shit about me." Steve said. "Yes I do know about you! You hate me and Pony! Don't act like I'm wrong. You think we just take up space and are good-for-nothing bodies." I say. "I'm done with this." Steve said walking back outside. Soda went after him. "We have to work." Darry changed the subject. He pulled me toward him and kissed me on the top of my head then left.

"I'll make us lunch." Dally said getting up. "I don't want to leave." I said as the tears still left my eyes going down my face. "I don't want you to go either, I don't think any of us do." Two said. We ate grilled cheese for lunch and sat in silence watching cartoons.

Time pasted and it got dark, we where still the only ones home. "Get ready for bed." Dallas commanded and I left to take a bath. I got out of the tub, drying myself off, brushing my teeth. I go to my room and put on one of Darry's white shirts. I wore it like a dress.

I got in bed and later on Dally came in. He slept next to me. "I'm going to see Pony and Johnny." He sparked a conversation. It had hit me, I'll never say bye to them, they'll never say bye to me.

I'll just vanish out of their life without any last words. The gang says they will still visit me but I know it's all false.

We will never see each other again besides maybe at the market. Every once in awhile I'd maybe see Soda and Steve at the DX. It'd be so awkward, we wouldn't have talked in ages as if strangers.

I woke up early in the morning and everyone was in the living room besides Dally, Johnny, and Ponyboy. Dally wasn't kidding, he had gone to see them. I hugged Darry about to loose it. I hugged Soda and he cried. I hugged everyone else and was crying so much. The lady came and I cried all the way there. Those last few moments with the gang, all so blurry as if a nightmare. It truly is a living nightmare.

I met my family. The mom was pretty and had long blond hair. The dad was nice to me and had short brown hair. They where very young and sweet and it moved on from there.
