jonathan absolutely disappeared in the morning. steve didn't exactly question it though. he assumed something came up and jonathan had to go do whatever jonathan does. what does he even do?

steve attempted to rub the tired out of his eyes, groaning lowly. he propped himself up onto his elbows and scanned around the dorm. he still wasn't used to the new environment. it was so.. not like home. he tried his best to fill it up with posters from home and things that could possibly remind him of ohio, but nothing worked. it was still gloomy and empty.

getting ready was a pain in steves ass.

the bathroom was a lot more cramped, his hairspray was buried in one of his bags and it took him like twenty minutes to find it, he stubbed his toe at least five times because of how small the bathroom was, and he almost dropped jonathans toothbrush in the toilet.

steve finally made it to the library and it was a lot more welcoming than his dorm. he was never the type to actually read or study, but it was hot as balls outside and he had no where else to go. he made himself comfortable in a seat after scanning the shelves in search for a book that actually looked interesting. did he find one? sorta.
it was some book about vampires or some shit.

time went by extremely slow once steve figured out that this book was actually cheesy as fuck and completely boring. there was absolutely no plot; it was just about two vampires sucking face and trying to get in each other's pants. eventually, someone else caught his interest.

she had neck length hair and bright blue eyes that were almost a diamond color. her lips were a natural shade of red and she had faint freckles plastered all over her face. she was honestly, if steve had to admit, beautiful. definitely not his type, but beautiful. she caught his eye and a confused look crossed her face since steve was obviously staring.

steve looked away in a heartbeat, pretending to be interested in his book again. but all concentration was lost. he felt the force of someone sitting beside him, and there she was.

"hi there. robin buckley," she greeted him with a half smile, opening her hand to shake his. steve reluctantly took it. "i noticed you looked bored to death reading your book so i decided to drop in and keep you company— hope you don't mind."

"oh, no. no. not at all. i'm steve... harrington. i'm sorry for staring earlier? i spaced out a tad." yeah right, steve. honestly, how the hell did you even make friends in high school? "no worries! you've got yourself a new college buddy. we can die as freshmen together."

okay. maybe this won't be too bad. robin was definitely a major dork but she seemed... tolerable.

about an hour had passed. robin was basically talking steves ear off, informing him with loads of unnecessary information. steve practically knew her entire life story by the time she was done.
"STEVE," robin shouted excitedly, slamming her fists on the table. steve flinched quite obviously and robin earned a bunch of shushes from everyone in the library.

she muttered a sarcastic 'sorry' in response, before turning her body towards steve and grinning widely. she looked like she just got the best idea in her entire 18 years of living.
