Chapter 6: Apologies and Revelations

---Hope POV---

Finally, when I’ve lost track of the time, Abi manages to calm me down enough for us to have an actual conversation. Lucky for us we are the last models that the boys do individual shoots with otherwise I’d have to go back out there and see Harry and I really don’t want to do that.

“Thanks Abs.” I say as I look over to my friend. I give her a faint smile because it’s all I can manage. Exhaling I rest my head on the wall behind me and close my eyes.

“You need to remember why you liked Harry so much in the first place ok babe? I know you’re angry at him but from what you’ve told me you didn’t tell him that you are the daughter of an internationally famous designer, a recognised designer yourself or that you are basically a model too, Pea! These kind of things work both ways. Think about why you didn’t tell him and then apply that to his situation.” I scrunch my face up as she uses my nickname ‘Pea’ but despite that Abi really was wise when she wanted to be, but my reasons can’t match Harry’s.

“I didn’t tell him because it just didn’t seem relevant. Being in a famous boy band however, I think that that’s a little more relevant.” I argue.

“Yeah, and how did you expect him to tell you? You’ve been on two dates and maybe he was enjoying you not knowing who he was. Did you just expect him to drop something like that on you? Maybe he didn’t want to freak you out. You’ve got to think about these things Pea.” Abi retorts back to me and I realise that all she’s saying makes perfect sense. I’d judged him too fast and I had overreacted.  “Look, I don’t want to lecture you, but when you talked about him with Louis earlier he was right; you could see how much you like Harry – it was written all over your face babe. I don’t think that you should let something like this get in the way of what is clearly between you both.” With that Abi gets up and, casting one last glance over her shoulder, leaves the room with a little victorious smile on her face; she knows she’s got through to me and she knows I’ll listen to her.

I will listen to her and I will talk to Harry, but I won’t do it yet.

Instead I elect to pull out my iPod and lose myself in my music for a little bit. I flick through my iPod coming to rest my searches on Matt Corby. I let his album play through before I finally decide to pick myself up off the floor. I do a quick self-check in the mirror before I take a deep breath and pull the door open.

When I step out Louis is already there with a concerned look on his face. I give him a weak smile and he pulls me into a hug. I haven’t known Louis for very long but he already treats me like sister.

“You obviously didn’t remember my advice.” Louis jokes and I gasp pulling back shooting him an accusing glare.

“You knew!” I poke him in the chest before I remember what I had said to him and then bury my head in his chest again groaning “You Knew.” Out again. Louis meanwhile is trying to hide his laughter but his shaking shoulders and gasping breath gives him away.

“Yeah, of course I knew. I’m his best friend. Anyway, how are you?” Louis asks; back in serious mode. I can feel the bloom of a blush on my cheeks which makes me glad that I still have my face buried in his chest.
