Chapter 3
Harry, Ron, Hermione and Abbe had just apparated to Malfoy Manor, where they were going to meet up with one of Abbe's good friends. Abbe walked up to the door with three fourths of the golden quartet behind her. SHe slowly knocked on the door, remembering what had happened the last time she had been there. She unconciously rubbing the spot on her forearm that had 'mudblood' written on it. She stepped back just as the door opened and an eye appeared in the tiny crack. "Abbe!" Draco yelled surprised. He opened the door fully and embraced Abbe in a huge hug. "What are you doing here? Aren't you suppose to be with your family?" When he finished his sentence Abbe burst into tears and put her head into Draco's chest. 'Did I say something?' He mouthed to the three standing five feet behind them. Ron sighed and walked towards Draco. He whispered something incoherent to the others. A look of understanding masked over his face making him soften up. "Where are you guys headed?" He asked the group.
"We are going to Abbe and Jaelyn's house to pick up their stuff. then we ar eoing to drop their stuff off at the Burrow and then we are going to the Ministry with Jaelyn and Remus." hermione stated in a quick manner. He just nodded at that not able to get words out of his mouth.
"Would guys mind if I came?" He asked. Ron mumbled something under his breath that sounded threating but he brushed it off.
"Sure, I am sure Abbe could use some more support. Let's apparate to her house." Hermione said after jabbing Ron in the ribs for his rude comment. With that Hermione, Harry and Ron apparated to the Wilson family home. He looked down to see that Abbe was too looking up at him. He leaned in to kiss her. Abbe did the same. He was just about to kiss her when they apparated, Draco laughing from her surprised face.
They had arrived at the scene of Hermione, Ron and Harry staring at the bodies of Abbe's family. Abbe faced the group and immediately bolted out of Draco's arms and up to her bedroom. "Guys, maybe we should get Jae's stuff then apparate to the Burrow and then come back with Jaelyn and Remus." Hermione suggested. The three boys nodded and ran up the stairs to quickly pack the toddler's things. They apparated away and not five minutes later were back with Remus and Jaelyn. They had apparated into Jaelyn's room and walked down the hall to Abbe's bedroom. Remus put his hand on the handle and turned it slowly so he wouldn't disturb her. He walked into her room to find her asleep on her bed with all of her belongings packed into her trunk.
The group slowly drifted toward the sleeping girl. Remus touched her shoulder ever so lightly seeing as her wand was clutched tightly in her hand. You did not want to be on the other side of her Astrapicus Curse (Shoots lightning at someone or something). Even at the slight touch Abbe jolted awake and poitnted her wand at her friends, the name of the curse on the tip of her tongue. She saw the looks on the faces of the people she loved and put her wand away safely in her boot. "Let's get to the Ministry." She said with no emotion in her voice.
The others nodded not wanting to get on her bad side right at the moment. every one except Abbe and Jaelyn apparated. They had taken to the floo. It seemed easier not having to deal with a sick toddler in the M.O.M. The adoption process had not taken long and by the end of their visit there Abbe and Jaelyn Wilson were now Abbe and Jaelyn Lupin.
