Chapter 6
The group was now sitting in the Great Hall, eating and talking about various subjects, like classes, Quidditch and each others summer. However Abbe and Eli were not participating in the conversation. They sat there quietly looking over their schedules and occasionally sharing classes they had. Today Eli and Abbe had 3 classes together including DADA, Potions and Transfiguration. Eli heard the flapping of wings and looked up. He saw at least one hundred owls flying throughout the great hall delivering things to kids who forgot some of their stuff. Eli and Abbe laughed at some of the kids who got howlers because they forgot something. "I brought everything...at least I am pretty sure I did." Abbe said. Just as she said that the Weasley's owl, Pigwideon, landed in front of her with a letter and a package. Eli laughed again because she obviously for got something. She took the letter in her hand and read it out loud to only Eli.
"Dear Abbe,
As you can see you forgot something but I felt I needed to talk to you about something important. I have heard from various sources *cough* Remus *cough*" Abbe chuckled a bit a this. " that you have heard many stories about James and Lily and felt that they would be like family if they were alive. Well, the ministry and I have found a way to resurrect them. I would like it if you were not to tell anyone else about this except the Head Boy. I feel he needs to know the information as well. I hope you remember by the shape of the package what you forgot. If you haven't yet guessed it is your trumpet and sheet music you forgot at the Burrow. don't forget not to tell anyone, especially Harry, the information. Have fun at school this year. :)
Love,
Arthur and Molly
P.S. Go to Godric's Hallow Halloween night with Harry, Ron, Hermione, Remus, Sirius and the Head Boy.
Abbe set the letter down, shocked about what she had just read. It was like she was going to have a family again. Unaware of what she was doing she hugged Eli tightly. He hugged her back not caring why she hugged him in the first place. She reluctantly let go to open her package. She smiled at him as she pulled away and he smile back. She blushed at his smile. Even with braces his smile was magical. Even his eyes, the mix of blue and gray was perfect. She snapped out of her daydream and turned towards her package. Knowing that it was just a trumpet she ripped off the paper. She took out the music she had been writing for the past month-month and a half. She had been meaning to play it for Harry at Christmastime but felt now was the perfect time. This particular piece was titled Hedwig's Theme after Harry's late owl. She picked up the trumpet case and opened it up to find that the trumpet was a different color. Well, not completely, it was still gold but it had red stripes on it. she gasped at how beautiful it is. There was note attached that said Hope you like it :). Her smiled widened even more. She carefully pulled the trumpet out of the case and put the music on the table. She brought the trumpet to her mouth and played the music.
While she played the whole hall seemed to quiet down a bit from the previous havoc. She kept playing and playing until the whole hall was completely silent. The notes seemed to flow out of the trumpet with a tremendous passion. She sounded like she felt the notes flowing through the instrument were her whole life. The music was so wonderful that it sounded like it had been written by Mozart. The melody painted a beautiful picture the was made by Picasso. The piece finally ended with a whole note played beautifully. She slowly set the trumpet down and noticed that everyone was staring at her, mouths gaping. She blushed at all the attention and finally someone started clapping. Someone who had hated her since the day she stepped foot on Hogwarts grounds. At this point you may be thinking it is Professor Snape, he's dead so it's not him. It is actually Pansy Parkinson. Slowly the rest of the Slytherins started clapping along with her. The rest of the hall soon joined in. The hall quieted down and people started eating again and they acted as if nothing had happened.
It was now time to go to DADA and Eli, Abbe, Harry, Ron, Hermione and Maggie were walking side by side to the classroom, wondering what they would be doing as seventh years on the first day of classes. They were probably going to review somethings that they had learned over the years at Hogwarts such as boggarts, defensive spells and theory. Abbe and Maggie only really went to see their dads, but the information was also intriguing. They had no idea what they where in for today.
