The feast had gone as planned, just like it does every year and now Abbe and Eli were walking to their common room. The silence was killing both of them and whenever they would look at each other they would blush. Eli decided to strike up a conversation about Quidditch, which Abbe was happy to take part in. "You know I think I am going to tryout for the Quidditch team this year. I have been practicing most of the summer with Harry, Ron, Remus and Sirius. They say that I would be a great Beater. Personally I would prefer seeker, but Harry has got that job covered." Abbe said with a smile.

"I am sure you would be great at both positions. I am just glad that Harry is seeker, I wouldn't want you to get hurt." He said smiling down at her. He was a good seven inches taller than she was. They walked up to their common room awaiting to see the awesomeness that will be their common room that they share for the rest of the year. The portrait was none other than their former potions master who had died during the Battle Of Hogwarts....the one and only Severus Snape. "Hello Professor Snape, how are the other portraits treating you?" She said in a sickly sweet voice. She murmured something under her breath that sounded like 'badly I hope'. Eli almost laughed at that....almost.

"Why would you care you, mudblood? Yeah, that's right I said it." Seeing the look no her face made him continue," You can't stop me now." Snape said back adding a snarl. Abbe was staring at him the whole time he was talking, tears were threatning to fall down her cheeks. Eli looked at her and noticed her sadness and decided to say something. "Don't talk to her like that! Now if you wouldn't mind we would like to go in.The password is Ali!" He all but shouted the password he made up off the top of his head. As soon as they could see the common room, Abbe bolted through the hole and sat on the couch. Eli gave Snape a deadly glare and walked in right behind her.

"Are you okay?" Eli asked as he walked towards Abbe. She was sitting on the couch with her head in the couch pillow probably sobbing. "Don't listen to him." Eli said.  She yelled into the pillow "You don't know! You're a pure blood! You will never know the feeling!" That set Eli off. He then told her something he planned not to tell her until at least Christmastime. "But, I am a mudblood! Just like you! I was adopted! I don't even know my real family! I have been lied to my whole life! That is something that you don't know how it feels. My adoptive family doesn't even love me! I have no family!" Eli yelled. He ran up to his room like he had lived there for his whole life. She looked up when she heard footsteps running away and noticed Eli was no longer standing there. She really wanted to explore the room and try and find him but that little meltdown really tired her out. She decided to close her eyes for a little bit and find him later.

                                                                              Eli's POV

As soon as he said that he run up to his room. He remembers what had happened this past summer and touched his left wrist. He had cut himself several times. This had been going on since he found out of his adoption. His depression had not helped. Along with being abused by his drunk father every other night, he had terrible thoughts. Sometimes he thought that he should commit suicide. He even attempted a couple of times. There was one thing that helped him not do that. Abbe. She had been his crush for a very long time. But, even she couldn't help him now. He walked over to his trunk and opened it. His quidditch things were pouring out the sides along with his books and robes for school. He searched for the razor blades he brought with him. He started sobbing as he walked over to his bed. He took the blade and with one swift movement there was a line of blood streaming out of his wrist. He winced at the sight of blood. The scars were still there from last time he had done that. He put the blade back on his wrist but before he could slit his wrist once again someone knocked on the door. Without realizing it he choked out what sounded like 'come in.' The door opened and in walked Abbe ready to apologize until he saw what he was doing.

"Eli, please don't do it again." She said quietly walking towards him. "Come with me. We can go see my father, he can help you." He nodded with out saying a word. He walked towards Abbe and broke down completely, sobbing into her shoulder as she embraced him. Once he took control of himself again they walked out of the room and towards Remus's chambers.

They were walking quietly, well as quiet as you can get with something crying and sniffling loudly. They soon walked to Remus's chambers and asked the portrait to get Remus for them. They hoped that he could help Eli.
