Chapter Four : Wonderland

MIKE DIARY'S: I decided to leave John alone, at least for some time. Just looking at his helpless eyes looking for a way to comfort me, even though everything was my fault, was definitely not something I wanted to see, so after I literally cried at his arms for the first time, I stormed out, again.

Instead of just going to the school and doing something there to pass the time, I walked over to my truck, which was at the junkyard even before I moved in, and drove to the Sun's Lair. That place is like a sanctuary to me, I can pray if I want to, I can ask for guidance, or I can simply just look at the horizon from the highest peak in the town, which was right there, at the Sun's Lair. As I reached the park, a chill went down my spine, something that it was rare for me to feel, but again, I never believed in fate so I couldn't care less of what that feeling could've meant. I looked to the outside of the town through the cliff and saw the vast desert of Arizona, the sun shining like gold on the cactuses and the dry bushes. The clouds covered the emptiness of the sky by having all of them close together. I spent most of the time doing nothing but thinking about John, and how he managed to make me open one of my deepest fears to him, at least a part of it. My dad decided to turn his back on me on the time I most needed him, not only for the fact that I was gay but the fact that my powers were finally out and I needed at least one guidance. He made my life turn upside down in minutes, one time I had my mother and my sister on my side, and then another time I had no one.

Now here's the part where I hate about myself, my imagination is endless, to the point where I can imagine a whole world in front of me, and that puts me into a state of complete blindness of what's around me, I forget where I am and only see what I created, sometimes I even think that's my power too, but it seems too of a reach to be true. Almost forgot, this place is Wonderland, you know, from those old stories about the girl who fell down a rabbit role and ended up in this weird world, sometimes I go to that exact same place. When I closed my eyes I imagined the ground floating, bushes, and trees made out of multiple colors, texture, and shapes, the water is pink and the clouds are made of the thin cotton candy with caramel on top. As soon as I stood up to see the amazing world, a rabbit with a diamond collar jumped around, trying to get my attention, and as the dumbass that I am, I followed it. As soon as I left the floating ground, pieces of a chest game made my path and lead to where the rabbit was, I tried to catch him but he jumped to another land, and as I looked to see where i was standing, giant dark trees appeared, curling around themselves, making it impossible to see any daylight, a fog lifted itself and the darkness rose. I ran through the forest only to find myself on a long road with only dead trees surrounding it, then I finally reached the Queen of Heart's castle, huge towers covered in white and red stones with gold pillars and giant flags on top of it. I would tell you more, but the thing is some dumbass decided to scream my name, and the voice was very familiar so I quickly opened my eyes to look around, and there he was, Oliver.

Oliver was wearing this baggy sweatshirt with stains on it, his hair was all messed up and his face was full of pimples, there was no way to justify the way he looked, the entire school knew that he had money but he kept fighting with his parents so they cut his money off almost all the time. I'm also the last person to judge somebody by their looks since I wear the same thing every day.

"Next time you gotta daydream somewhere more quiet" Oliver shouts while walking towards me.

I tried to ignore him, but his presence made me more uncomfortable so I stopped and looked at his face.

"I'll do that" I spoke with a serious tone.

"Yeah, so, I'm still trying to understand what happened a couple of weeks ago, and I still don't have an answer!" He shouts, again.
