All thought the land, James Buchanan Barns was know as the white wolf during his stay. His main reason for being in Wakanda was to remove the mind control that Hydra put on him.
Shuri the youngest child of the royal family was tasked with fixing him. She called him "Broken White Boy".
"White wolf! Mother has invited you to eat with us." She said walking up to Bucky in his small portion of field.
"I'm sorry princess, but I have work." He said.
"I'll let her know. You progress has veen coming along well." She said.
"There will always be room for improvement." He said.
Every day for 2 months, at the same time those two would have the same conversation. He was already like family, helping find the past kings murder, protecting the border, and visiting Shuri for his treatment at the Castle. One afternoon their daily conversation changed.
"White wolf! Mother has invited you to eat with us." She said at the hut.
"Sorry, princess, I have work." He replied like normal.
"Did I say invited, I ment commanded Soldier. She has something to talk to you about." When they arrived the Queen grabed him in a tight hug.
"I would like to formally adopt you. You are around this family most of the day, you can still live in you hut but you will always be welcomed at the Castle." She said.
"I can't argue with you, your the Queen, and now my mother." Bucky said.
"Welcome, white wolf." T'challa said.
"Oh, on his adoption papers his name should be broken white boy!" Shuri announced.
"You really can't change the name of a 106 year old man." T'challa said.
"Hush, brother!"
