After I closed her window, I went up to a fire escape. I looked through the window and saw my friends already in the room. I took a breath and opened the window as quietly as I could, I grabbed my bag and grabbed out my confetti cannon. I stuck the first half in and shot it. They all screamed, I laughed as I climbed through the window after tossing my bag on Lina's couch.
"Oh my god, your faces were priceless!" I flopped on the couch.
"What the hell, man?" Morgan asked.
"I brought drinks." I said pulling the alcohol out of my bag.
"What took so long? No one believed you were 21?" Ashlee asked.
"Ha, ha, very funny ash." I faked a laugh. "No, I went to the wrong window."
"I said the 12th floor, my landing has nothing on it." Lina said.
"Well, the numbers aren't on the outside of the building, and the landing under us has nothing on it." I argued. "Now let's party." I opened the bottle and took a swig.
A week later I was at work and she walked into the cafe. I helped another person and she was gone. That night I went to her landing with coffee and bagels. I knocked on her window and waited till she came to it.
"Hello?" She said.
"At the cafe earlier, you didn't get anything, so, I brought you coffee and a bagel." I smiled.
"Are you stalking me?" She asked.
"Um...no, I just work at the cafe." I said my smile faded.
"I figured. Come on in, thank you for knocking." She said smiling. I smiled and climbed in.
