"I really thought the two of you didn't like each other." Ikuya glanced at Haru. They were at swim practice the next day. Ikuya's school had come to do a joint relay race with Haru's. The night before had been awkward but with Asashi there, the situation wasn't really answered. The ginger was good at making everyone laugh it off then change the topic.

"I wished I knew what we were." Haru muttered. He turned to glance at Ikuya. They were sitting on the sidelines as they weren't in this race.

"I always thought you would end up with Makoto or Rin, never considered Sosuke." Ikuya chuckled.

"You also never considered me being straight?" Haru snorted.

"Please! I tried to be you! Getting in your head to swim like you do..." Ikuya paused. He leaned back to look up at the rafters. "Honestly. That's when I realized I was gay too." He whispered. "For so long I shut myself up because of you. Not because of what happened, but because I knew you were gay. I didn't know how I felt about that. I really respected the way you swam and how you looked after your friends, but did I love you?" Ikuya rolled his head around to look at the man beside him.

"I think you were my first crush, strange right?" He chuckled. "I still love you, but as a brother." He added when Haru said nothing.

"I can handle that, but I'm still going to beat you." Haru smirked standing up he unzipped his jacket. Ikuya stood too.

"I doubt that, I don't have an injured shoulder!" He laughed.

"Rude!" Haru hissed. Ikuya laughed the whistle blew signifying the end of the race before theirs. They moved to warm up then get on the starting blocks. Miles away, a very different conversation was going on.

"You are fucking Haru!" Rin yelled. He punched Sosuke in the chest, slamming the other back into the wall. "What the hell, why him!?" Rin cried. The image of the tall swimmer weaving in and out of focus through his tears.

"I, I don't know." Sosuke mumbled. "I hated him for so long." He whispered. Rin backed up.

"What, so it was a hate fuck?" He swiped angrily at his face.

"No, I, I have feelings for him now." Sosuke ran a hand through his hair.

"WHAT THE HELL DOES THAT MEAN!" Rin screamed.

"Rin, calm down, what's going on?" Makoto was standing in the doorway. Rin had yanked Sosuke through it but it hadn't shut.

"Oh, don't even tell me Asahi didn't tell you!" Rin confronted the other. Makoto hung his head.

"No, actually, it was Haru." He said. Rin blinked.

"You talked with Haru?" he asked a note of hope in his voice. It was dashed as Makoto shook his head. He closed the door. Walking in he sat his stuff down near the table.

"No, Haru texted me last night after, um after they were caught. He told me he didn't want me to find out from anyone else and asked me to meet him for dinner tonight so we could talk."

"Wait, he wants to talk to you?" Sosuke's eyes widened. Haru had been unusually quiet the night before hanging out with his friends. Sosuke hadn't left mainly because he had told Rin he would be out all night. It was awkward, but they got through it. Yet, he hadn't had a chance to speak to Haru.

"Yes, he asked me to hear him out. I think it's more about him liking a guy then that guy being you. Part of why I'm here now. I want to know how you feel about Haru." Makoto looked to Sosuke.

"I, uh, well I was trying to tell Rin but he is being a blubbering cry baby and yelling at me." Sosuke smirked at his friend. Rin's red eyes flamed as he glared at the handsome swimmer.
