Chapter 5

Days passed and y/n was still hurting and she couldn't go to the battlefield. But what was bothering her the most was the absence of Taehyun.

Since that night he didn't show up anymore, she waited for him in her tent, since she couldn't move, but he never came.

She didn't want to admit it but she was deeply hurt by the fact that he now seemed uninterested in her. She tried to occupy her head with other things but she would always end up thinking of him, as if she was going in circle.

She couldn't bare the thought of not seeing him anymore, and she hated herself a ton for missing her enemy. However she couldn't do anything more than worrying about his well being.

After a week without seeing him she decided to go and find him. Her ankle was a little bit better and she was finally able to at least walk properly.

That night, past midnight, she sneaked out of her tent and started the impossible search of the man she knew only by his name.

Taehyun found her and they always met not so far from her tent, therefore she had no idea where his tent could possibly be. She started roaming north to her tent and went into the wood trying not to lose her focus.

Minutes passed but all she could see were the shadows of those big ass trees that were even starting to scare her a little bit.

After what felt like forever, she finally began to see some lights and a big tent. As she was nearing it, she saw Taehyun exiting from it and reuniting outside with some of his men.

He wasn't looking at her direction and y/n thought that was her moment to sneak into his tent and surprise him. She feared he wouldn't accept her or maybe he didn't want to see her at all. With all those mixed feelings she went inside from the opposite entrance and waited for him.

The tent was bigger than y/n's one and it was defenitely more luxurious, the fornitures were all made with precious and pricey materials.

Taehyun didn't come in for what felt like a good 40 minutes, but when he entered his face assumed the most surprised expression y/n had ever seen on him.

"Y/n? What are doing here? How did you find my tent?"

Taehyun almost started shouting as she was the last person he expected to see when entering.

"Shhhhh! They will hear you and come inside" y/n said "To respond to your questions, I found the way myself as you were not respecting our pact"

"I wasn't respecting the pact? What nonsense is this? I clearly thought you didn't need someone as annoying as me after that night" he answered with a glint of rage in his eyes.

As they were talking pretty loudly Taehyun's father, who was outside, decided to enter and see what the fuss was about.

"Taehyun what is happening here...oh? Who's she?"

The two turned around and Taehyun's face went blank. Y/n didn't know who the man was but her guts told her that everything from here will eventually go wrong.

"Uh oh dad what are you doing here? Aren't you used to like knock or something?"

"What do you mean you are my son after all. I heard some noises and came to check on you. Now I want an answer don't try to avoid my question, who's she?" He asked with a sterner tone this time

"Umhh you see, she's...she is... I mean it is a bit complicated to explain"

Y/n's heart was beating hard, she was so scared Taehyun would reveal her true identity.

"Is this your girlfriend? Is this why you didn't want to accept any of the marriage I offered you?"

"YES!" He almost shouted wanting to escape that situation "she's my girlfriend, and that's why I was not interested in any of your arranged marriage"

Y/n almost felt like throwing up hearing Taehyun's words. She couldn't believe he lied so easily about something like this.

Taehyun's little mistake would cost much to y/n's future
