Chapter 15

A day after y/n's escape the mass revolt started.

Soldiers were refusing to fight and they were attacking the king, who was uselessly giving orders.

Y/n and Taehyun slept in the forest, on one big tree's branch. They didn't know yet that the revolt had begun.

To their help arrived Kai.

"Taehyun!"

"Kai! I hope you're here with great news"

"The greatest possible friend. The revolt has started and the king has lost his power"

"Oh my! All this happened so fast" exclaimed Taehyun shocked

"Yeah it was kinda predictable, everyone wanted to go home and stop fighting. People are tired and in need to see their families"

"Then I should come to dethrone my father"

"It will be very riskious, but I have faith you can do it friend" spoke Kai while smiling.

Y/n was still on the branch and she listened to all their discourse.

If Taehyun succeeded then peace will come, but if he didn't she will lose him forever.

She didn't show it, but she wasn't so sure about everything that had to happen from now on.

Her and Taehyun were just now starting their relationship and here they were facing a dangerous situation.

"Y/n come down we need to go"

Her thoughts were interrupted by Taehyun's voice

"Yeah, I'm coming"

The three began walking towards the camp, with an unusual silence filling the air.

The tension could be easily felt, but who could blame them?

"We're here" announced Kai.

Y/n wished to never hear those words.

"Hey love it's gonna be alright, don't worry for me I'm strong and healthy" said Taehyun trying to reassure y/n.

Even if she didn't say a word everything could be read on her face, and her boy noticed.

"I know, I trust you" she answered smiling a bit.

With these last few words Taehyun greeted y/n one last time and he began his mission, kill his father.

Y/n instead stayed hidden at first but as she saw that things were getting more violent, she decided to help a bit and make things for Taehyun easier.

Without him noticing she took down, one at a time, all the king's guards that Taehyun would have faced before reaching his father.

She looked at him and her eyes shone with hope, for once she wanted to believe that everything was going to be okay for her and for him.

In the general confusion Taehyun finally reached his father.

"Son, you traitor!" Screamed the king as soon as he saw him

"You will never be king!" He spoke once again with the darkest tone he's ever had

"I will gladly not be the king you expect me to, in fact I will be better than everything you always wished for" he began "I'm sorry father but some blood needs to be shed for things to finally change in this reign"

After ending his speech he started charging towards the king.

Y/n was watching from afar and when she saw what was about to happen she held her breath, scared about the future.

"NO!" She suddenly screamed horrified by the scene.

Taehyun had his sword up his father's neck, but the king had also badly injured his son.
