Epilogue

"And that's how your grannies got to know each other" Taehyun finished explaining with a smile on his face

"So you and grandma were able to put and end to the war with you love for each other?"

"Yeah that too, but we also had to fight. I had to overtake over my father and it was not easy. But I gained strength with the idea that I could have married y/n after that" he added with an even bigger smile

"Ohh look at grandma! She's blushing!" Screamed one of the couple's nephews

"I still have my effect on her you know" Taehyun said grinning

"Oh please Taehyun cut it out" answered y/n with a laugh

"Come on kids it's time you let your grandparents rest, it's the fourth time they've told you their story" the queen, y/n and Taehyun's daughter, said while entering the room

"I know mom, but it is just so romantic that it doesn't seem real" one of the kids exclaimed

"Yeah, they didn't become the talk of the country for nothing" added the queen with a smile, making everyone laugh.

And she was right, after that horrendous fight with his father Taehyun was able to kill him and win. He was pained that he had to go to that extent, but it was the only option he had or his y/n would be executed.

They returned together to his reign and got married, merging their properties.

The talk of what they did spread pretty fast and everyone started fantasizing about having a love story like the one they had.

But they knew better, yes it was indeed romantic, but the hardships they had to face to get where they were...they wished to never experience them again.

They promised to keep their reign peaceful, and they were able to keep that promise during their time in power.

Everyone loved them. The kingdom was able to flourish and grow. They helped all the people in need and were always close with the population.

Even people from other reigns knew their story and they became famous all across the country.

Everyone wanted to meet them and see in person the people who thought love was more important than a stupid war where many lost their lives.

Y/n and Taehyun loved each other till the end of their times and with their bravery and intelligence they were able to enter people's heart forever.

A monument was built in honour to both of them and they were venerated as divinities.

Even when they left for a better place, the hugeness of their deeds continued to spreed and even history books wrote about them.

They became almost a myth in the country and even children knew all of what they did.

Their legacy was passed down to their daughter, who they educated to virtue in order not to let anything they experienced happen ever again.

"War is never the answer" they always told her since she was little. And she understood that lesson very well.

The reign Taehyun and y/n wished for when they were still putting their lives at risk became reality with their hardwork and trust.

And as they always reminded their daughter "love finds a way, it may seem impossible but love is the strongest force that moves people. Love deeply and greatly and you won't regret it."

I'm cryinggg. I began this ff in 2020 when I was bored and I had this idea out of nowhere. I stopped writing it, but then again this year I felt the need to finish it in hopes that people will like it just as much as I do.
