Chapter 6

"Ohh I see! You've got a good one son, good choice" the king spoke

Y/n felt even more like puking, she was being treated as an object and she couldn't believe her hears when Taehyun uttered those words.

"Yes, she's indeed beautiful"

Y/n's heart started beating so fast she was scared they could hear it. Taehyun said something so simple, yet it had an enormous impact on her. She wasn't even sure he was meaning what he said, he could as well be lying just to get through this situation.

"Well then I'll leave you two alone to your own things" he said while winking "oh and...what was you name again young girl?"

"Y/n, sir"

"Then y/n I invite you to join us for breakfast tomorrow, I want to introduce you to our strongest team"

Y/n felt her world collapsing, not only her biggest enemy believed she was in a relationship with her son, but he also wanted her to spend time with them. She couldn't do this, she had her soldiers to lead and she could not have fun here as if her men weren't dying outside for the kingdom's independence.
As soon as the king left, y/n started shouting against Taehyun.

"How could you even put me in this whole mess so easily?"

"Listen y/n, I'm sorry, I didn't think my dad would get so insistent to know you"

"And what made you believe that? You refused all of his marriage proposal for months and you thought that he had no interest in knowing who his son is dating? You fucking dumbass I can't believe that I'm stuck here because of you!" Y/n blurted out feeling irritated

"Woah there! Moderate your words with me missy. Do I need to remind you your position here?"

"Is that a threat Taehyun? Are you really stepping so low right now just because I called you names? I can't believe I once thought I found comfort in you!"

Y/n turned to face the boy and she found him with an astonished face, he wasn't expecting y/n's last words

"Y/n...my words...I didn't mean them. Just forget it" he began feeling guilty and realizing what y/n was feeling right now.
"Are you perhaps hungry?" He said trying to lighten the atmosphere

"I'm not feeling particularly hungry right now, but thank you for caring" y/n stated with a calm tone, the irritation slowly fading away.
"So umh I should get going now?"

"No wait! Won't you stay here?" Taehyun said with a confused expression

"I- I- need to get back to my tent, I don't think it is okay for me to sleep here" she said as she trailed her eyes to the double bed at the center of the tent

"Umm but you have to be here for breakfast, do you think your ankle can handle all this walking back and forth?" Taehyun stated with a bit of worriness. At the end of the games it was very dark outside and anything could happen to y/n while going back to her tent.

"Yeah sure, I will be back before the sun sets"

"Wait at least till everyone here has gone to bed, I will accompany you to your tent" uttered Taehyun in a desperate tone

"There's no need for that, I don't want to disturb you"

"Don't say such nonsense y/n, I always come to your tent at this hour, this isn't a burden for me. I'm accompanying you and that's final" he said in a sternly

"Well okay...if you say so" y/n said while blushing a little. Taehyun caught the red on her cheecks and smiled softly to himself.

"Mind you if I rest a bit while I wait for your people to fall asleep?"

"No problem princess, rest all you want"

Y/n didn't know what was in the air that night, but her heart was surely beating hard. Taehyun was all of a sudden being so gentle towards her that she couldn't not blush at his remarks.

She fell asleep immersed in these thoughts, and she didn't notice that she actually never went back to her tent.
