Chapter 14

Taehyun stayed up all night thinking about a way to free y/n. He couldn't accept what was happening, but more than anything he was not going to surrender to his father's greedy wishes.

He had a plan, a very risky one if you ask, but he didn't care at all, he just wanted to make sure that his lover was all well.

As soon as the sun was rising he came out of his tent and went cautiously towards his father's one. According to the king's words, y/n should have been near his tent. He had only one chance, he knew that soon his father would wake up and discover what had happened.

After walking a bit he found his lover position. He took a few arrows and aimed his bow to one of the guarding soldiers. He had to be fast, there were four of them to take down. If he missed even one of those men, then his position would be found out soon.

All four arrows hit the four soldiers and they fastly fell on their knees agonizing.
Taehyun took the opportunity to sprint towards y/n. The girl looked up confused and was even more puzzled when she saw Taehyun.

"Uh? Why are you are?"

"To free you, what else?" Spoke the boy in a hurry as he finished untying the knots of the rope

"Fast, let's go!" He spoke once again taking y/n's hand in his and running away from his camp

"Where are we going?" Asked the girl worried

"Don't know yet, we'll discover it"

"Taehyun I don't think-"

"Please just come with me and run faster" he begged the girl

Y/n didn't answer and they didn't speak again until they stopped running.

"Taehyun this could get you killed" said y/n between one breath and another

"I know, I've already considered all the circumstances"

"Then why did you do it? You will never become the king you always wished to be!"

"I couldn't become a proper king if I let my father do whatever he wanted to you!" He answered getting closer to the girl

"What are we even going to do now? We don't have a place to go to"

"Love relax a bit, I know the situation is not one of the best and I understand your uneasiness. But if the two of us are together we'll definitely find a way out" he finished with a smile while lacing his hands around y/n's waist.

"Taehyun you know that my soldiers are all alone now right? they don't even know if I'm dead or not" silence filled the air after y/n's remark

"We need to put an end to this war" uttered in a serious tone the boy

"How can we do that? You know your father will never approve any of this"

"With a mass revolt, if all the soldiers stop following my father's orders he has no option but to surrender"

"This sounds a little bit too utopian"

"I know a way" he started with a determined tone "wait for me here I will be back in a couple of hours, just please don't move from here"

"Wait-"

She wasn't even able to finish the sentence since Taehyun was already out of her sight.
A little disheartened she sat down and hugged her legs. She wanted to have a small hope for this whole plan, however she was literally sitting in the middle of nowhere all alone and it was definitely not helping.

On the other hand Taehyun was running as fast as he could to reach his camp. He was going to find the soldier he was closest with, his friend since they were little, and explain him about his plan. He had to be even faster than before, people might have already noticed that y/n was missing and it would probably not take them long to notice that was not there too.

"Kai! Thanks god I found you!!" He spoke breathlessly

"Why are you panting so hard friend?"

"I need your help, I know you have the ability to convince the troops"

Taehyun explained fastly the plan and if at first Kai was a bit reluctant, he enden up agreeing on helping his friend. After all the soldiers were tired of this war too, they have been fighting for months and they felt like they lost the purpose of it.

"Thank you Kai! I owe you one" said Taehyun while already running back to you

Kai told him that they already knew y/n was missing, but he didn't know that he was behind it all. He also said that he would try to cover him as much as possible.

Y/n was almost on the verge of falling asleep, when she suddenly heard some rustling sound. Someone was there.
She wanted to believe that it was Taehyun, but she knew better and for this reason she was already on guard.

"BU!"

"AAAAAAAAAAH!!!" Screamed the girl at the sudden voice behind her

"Taehyun you little monster! You scared me"

"You should look at your face right now" he said as he was laughing hard at you

"There's nothing to laugh at. I thought that it was someone that wanted to hurt me, you know"

"And instead it was your amazing, good-looking and funny boyfriend"

"Boyfriend?" She uttered shyly

"Am I not your boyfriend?"

"Well um yes- I mean-"

"Should have I asked you formally to be my girlfriend? I already considered you mine since that night"

Y/n was a blushing mess. Taehyun had a way of saying things so bluntly that she was always a bit coy in those moments.

"Awww look at you blushing at my words. I must say that the effect I have on you makes me quite proud" As he said that he brought her body close to him

"I really want to kiss you right now, should I ask you for this too?"

Y/n was too stunned to even speak, in fact she only shook her head signaling him that it was okay not to ask.

"Well then I'll kiss you right away my love"
