I looked into the stars, and you were gone,
I glanced back at the dark, and I was wrong,
I sang a lullaby deep in the night,
And wished, perhaps, that you would sing along.White asphodel, a flower I should hate,
And one I'll never see again too late,
Spreads gracefully on fields I knew you knew:
Among them there, you joined my song too late.Your hair glowed golden like the summer sun,
And mystery shamed the planets, every one,
And in my dreams, I see your quiet face,
So secretive, until secrets were done. Now snowflakes fall on both your glassy eyes,
Awake and open, taken by surprise,
And half a world away, my voice lingers,
A lullaby still drifting on my sighs.thanks for reading!
