Cara-

I don't know when I eventually fell asleep last night. It had to be somewhere between losing my mind by being angry at Jason for what he did and being angry at myself for spending too much time revisiting the kiss in my mind.

My dad had barely been underground for a month, and here I was, playing kissy face with the man who practically expressed him to death's door and beyond.

Cindy's alarm woke me up, and the first part of my body that reacted to being awake was that jittery organ in my lower abdomen. The kiss was the first thing I remembered. My fingers touched my lips, and zap, my uterus made me aware that a hot, mean, yet still hot male gave me attention the night before.

"Amen." I heard Cindy mutter next to me.

Maybe I should try praying too.

She yawned, I was still covered from head to toe by my blanket.

"Morning girly, you awake?" I heard Cindy call.

I pulled the blanket off my face.

She opened her mouth, I stopped her.

"Don't ask, because I won't tell." I warned her.

She closed her mouth.

We both showered and prepared for the day. Then we left the bedroom without a word to each other. It was Saturday, and my day would be fairly easy since all I had to do was finish the budget review for Jason.

We entered the dining hall, and as usual everyone else was already there except for Jason. I sat next to Cindy, and instantly Monique sent me a dirty look. I pretended not to notice, and the doors opened, and in walked... gosh, my eyes fell on his usual straight face, and my uterus jumped again. My eyes snapped to his lips, and I felt their ghost on mine.

Great. I was broken by a simple kiss.

Jason walked to the head of the table and pocketed his hands. He looked around the room but didn't even gaze in my direction.

Mean bastard.

"Good morning." He greeted.

"Good Morning." We all answered, but I grumbled.

Cindy sent me a weird look. I also pretended not to see it.

"I hope you all had a great night. Your costumes for tonight should be delivered around dinnertime, and you only have to worry about your yoga and aerobics classes for today." Jason explained casually.

I didn't like him. But why couldn't I stop looking at his lips?

His voice was annoying, and I didn't want to hear it so early in the morning. But gosh, my skin was still covered in goosebumps at the baritone which covered every syllable which spewed from those sexy, pink, full lips.

"I have a question." Monique's voice broke my crazy thoughts.

Jason looked at Monique with a bored look. He didn't like her. But then again, it's the signature look he had for me. Does that mean he didn't like... me?

"Yes, Monique." Jason said, his voice said that he was fed up.

"It's my understanding that only entertainers are to accompany special guests in the club." Monique said, which made me wonder, what was the question?

"Is there a question in there somewhere?" Jason asked without much care.

Gosh, the man was detestable.

"Why was she the one with that special guest last night?" Monique pointed to me.

"Dude get off my back." I snapped before I could think about it.
