Narrator-

As soon as Dante saw the approaching ladies, he smiled and focused his attention on Cara. When she reached him, he reached out and kissed the back of Cara's hand, while Jason pretended to not be interested in her appearance or presence.

"You look absolutely beautiful." Dante greeted with a compliment.

"Thank you." Cara smiled.

Cindy softly touched Cara's lower back before she brushed past Jason and entered the club.

"Since you look so ravishing this evening, and of course I know you're going to be a rather charming companion tonight, I have only one request." Dante spoke, while hooking his elbow with Cara's.

"And what's that?" Cara wondered.

Jason, still appeared uninterested in the interaction. He stood with his one hand in his pocket, the other scrolling through his phone. He was dressed in all black, with the first two buttons of his shirt unbuttoned.

"That you can't deny me anything." Dante revealed.

Cara's eyes widened just slightly. She chanced a look at Jason, but he pretended not to hear Dante's request. Cara felt herself grow angry at Jason ignoring her.

"What?" Cara asked, turning her eyes back to Dante, feeling slightly suspicious of his request.

"I promise you, I'll be the perfect gentlemen." Dante raised an innocent hand.

"But with that I still need some form of liberty tonight, so no matter my request, you can't say no." Dante explained further.

Cara gulped, "Um, okay."

"Should we get going then?" Jason suddenly spoke, stuffing his phone and his pocket, and without waiting for the couple, he turned and walked through the curtain and disappeared from sight.

Cara frowned at Jason's action, wanting nothing more than to scold him for pretending to not appreciate the fact that she complied with his and the client's demand, just as he expected her to.

Dante smiled at Jason's actions, and led Cara inside the club, who quickly tried to clear her emotions off her face. As soon as they stepped in the ballroom, Cara's skin filled with goosebumps, as she was reminded of the first time she walked through those doors with Jason. Dante was led to a table, where the couple was served two flutes of champagnes. Jason took a seat at the bar, where he could keep an eye on the couple. Cara noticed Cindy sitting with an older gentleman not too far from where they stood, and Vincent was once again in the company of the brunette Cara saw him with in the playroom her first night at the mansion.

"Tell me, what exactly is your relationship with Jason?" Dante broke Cara's thoughts with a question.

"We don't have a relationship." Cara denied too quickly, before taking a soft sip of her champagne, not being too fond of the taste.

"Oh? I was under the impression that he was your boss. I mean, that counts as a professional relationship." Dante pointed out, knowing well that he was baiting Cara with his questions.

Cara chanced a quick look towards Jason before looking back at Dante.

"Well, it's more like debtor." Cara said lowly, with slight annoyance.

"Ah, so you're a client from his other side business." Dante realized.

"You know about that?" Cara replied, shocked.

"How is it that you became indebted to him?" Dante ignored her question.

Cara looked in Jason's direction again, as if expecting him to scold her for talking about this private matter. Except, he wasn't even looking their way. This made Cara frown internally, and she didn't know why. She blamed it on the fact that Jason was too trusting of Dante. What if he did something to her? Cara wondered, would Jason even care? But then Cara quickly chided herself for such absurd thoughts. Of course Jason wouldn't care. All he cared about was money.
