Butchers pov
She's gotten more beautiful if possible. Katherine Butcher Espinosa. My ex wife. I still love her very much. I'm an asshole. Wanna know what assholes do? Asshole things. I didn't leave her because she was taken and made a supe. I left her because it was my fault and I hated what they turned her into because of me. I stayed a bit. But my guilt would eat at me.

And when the group fell apart originally i took it as a way to free her from me. I helped her as much as I could with her being 'the vampire' it's what she is it seems. She sustains on blood, she's fast, strong, wears a special kind of jewelry so she doesn't burn. Homelander had this done to her. She had an option, give me up, or suffer. And because she loves me....she stalled and vought made her what she is now. We got to her. She was afraid of being by me the bloodlust at a high. 

Vought did this to her and they're gonna fuckin pay. Homelander is gonna fuckin pay. She hates me because of me leavin her. There wasn't a day that passed that I didn't miss her, or keep tabs on her. I left our home to her in the divorce but she trashed the place in anguish. I wonder if she has her emotions on. "So what's your history?" Hughie asks. "He's an asshole, and I'm pissed. That's our history" she replies. Not lookin at me. I deserve it.

I did just leave her. No explanation, just divorce papers. It hurt to do but I thought it to be best. Vought turned her into what she is now because of me. "Cmon love don't be that way" I sigh. "Don't call me that. Dick" she scoffs. I tell her "I apologized" "is that supposed to change what happened or make me forgive you?" She asks. "It should be a start" I reply. She replies "fuck you" "you already did love." I reply unable to help myself. Usually she laughs and punches my shoulder with a smile and tells me to shut up. This time she punches me in my throat "no need to remind me of my regrets. I remember everything since birth" she huffs getting out the van as we park. She heads inside and I see her perk up "FRENCHIE!" She smiles. Then pair hug and start to talk in French.

She sees the cage "what do we have here?" "Translucent. He's indestructible. I've been trying to cut his skin...nothing" he explains. She says "are you always naked translucent?" He replies "you can see me?" "Obviously" she replies with that hot attitude of hers. She starts to compel him "show yourself until I say not to." He's visible to us now. He's not on vervain. "What the hell?! You're a supe! We're supposed to stick together" is his reply.

"I don't show loyalty to cults" she replies. She unlocks the cage and kicks him back as he tries to go passed. "Get out of the bloody cage" I scold worried about her. "Go get MM like I know you plan to. Leave this asshole to me" she says. "I ain't leavin ye" I object. Her response is "wouldn't be the first time. Go" I say "not yet" Hughie says "what is she doing?" "What she does best." I reply watching her. Soon we get word of homelander coming "get me time. I'll deal with him" I say "get out of the cage"

"Shut up butcher and do as I fuckin said" she rolls her eyes.

Katherine's pov
I ignore hughies stare "Indestructible huh?" I ask the man who's in the cage with me. "What are you?" He asks. I show my fangs "I'm the vampire that's going to end your life one way or another" he chokes me bashing my head against the bars. When I wake he's gone. I find Hughie with the detonator and he's trying to get translucent into the cage again. I speed over and punch my hand through his skin with my speed. His heart in my hand. Blood gets in Hughie and I rip out the heart and say "huh? Thought he was indestructible"

Biting into the heart. "I'm gonna be sick" Hughie says. "Love are ya alright" butcher asks as I drop the heart "don't call me that. I'm fine"
He touches my chin tilting my head to the side "did he do this?" "It doesn't matter you've done worse" I reply moving away and say "he's dead let's get rid of his body"
