Butchers pov
There's a man here who's just busting my balls here about his car. I want to kill him and take her home and care for her but starlight refuses. The bloody idiot comes back with a gun. "Stay back" he says and I look at him who has his gun pointed at us. "I said stay back" he snaps. "Fbi? You're not even an American! Is she even hurt? What is this some sort of scam?" I lay her down and stand with my gun "if I wanted to boost some wheels it wouldn't be a fucking Hyundai you daft cunt." I snap and he talks about standing his ground and I snap "you can stand wherever the fuck you want but I'm taking your keys." Starlight says "butcher stop." And adds "buddy put the gun down." "I said stay back" the guy says. Starlight snaps "I said put it down" she uses her power and blasts him away. I pick up my wife and mutter "you're gonna be okay love" she mutters "billy" and passes out.

What the fuck is goin on with her? Starlight checks on the guy and I take his keys and she snaps about me not listening to her and staying back. "I don't take orders from you especially when my wife is involved" gotta take her to our place and lay her down and call Grace. She'll know what to do for her. She has to. I don't know what else I'll do if she doesn't know what to do. I can't just call vought and ask for help they'll take her away again. And that's not a fuckin option. I get in the car with her in my lap and I tell Annie to go back to our place. She asks "why there? We have to get her to a hospital" I roll my eyes "she's voughts number one obsession. They want her back and homelander wants her even more. Besides she's not a human anymore she's a vampire and more due to vought. They'll turn her over the second they see her and I'll get arrested too. It's not an option" tapping her face gently "wake up love"

Her eyes flutter "what's going on?" "We're goin home love." I tell her. She asks "where's the rest?" "They're getting out. Don't worry bout it Kat. You're gonna get better okay" I tell her holding her. She coughs up a clear fluid "love" she wipes her mouth and she winces. Vervain. How? I know exactly what to do. Gotta bleed it out of her system. I kiss her softly "get some sleep" "it hurts" she says. I nod "I know" we get to our place and I say "this'll hurt a bit love" she nods and I grab a knife and cut her wrists. She winces and I kiss her wounds. They're staying open because of the mysterious vervain in her system. How did it get there? Annie asks "what are you doing?!" I say "I gotta bleed it outta her system." "So she has a weakness?" She asks. I nod "yeah. Every one of ya have a weakness. She just got less of em." I kiss her softly. "Ya doin great love" to her soon her wounds heal and she wakes "what the hell happened" I say "I'm not even sure. You were having vervain poisoning but there was none present" confused and she says "maybe vervain is why I can't use the powers. They started coming out and that's when it happened?" I reply "wouldn't ya be hurting all the time then?" She shrugs "I don't know. We have to see what the concoction they used to do this was" I nod and kiss her and offer her blood. She takes it and smiles. I kiss her "glad you're feeling better"
