The night flew by as I danced and swayed to the music. Sometimes I was with the girl that I now know is in my biology class who's name I've also learned is Adelyn. We danced until our feet hurt then sat on the sides to drink punch and tap our feet to the music.
When there was probably an hour left of the dance, Adelyn and I danced again. There was an upbeat song playing that I wasn't familiar with, but Adelyn and I both loved it. The song was coming to an end when I caught a glimpse of Kale. I waved to him and caught his attention. Before I could even begin to figure out why he was here, I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around to find my greatest fantasy smiling at me.
Jacob Smith.
"Um . . . Hi . . . Um--" I began to say.
"Do you want to dance?" he interrupted.
I was at a loss for words so I just nodded my head and filled him. Why would he want to dance with me? I stole a glance behind me and saw Adelyn giving me two thumbs up and grinning the biggest smile I had seen.
Jacob and I danced for a couple songs then he told me to follow him. I was confused but trailed after him anyway. He pushed open the doors to the hallway silently and closed them again behind me.
I stood there as quiet as a mouse for a short, peaceful moment before I could feel Jacob's eyes boring into my skull. I could tell he wanted me to look at him.
"Hey, um, I'll be right back, I guess. I need a drink," I lied to him.
I walked to the water fountain and took a sip of water. When I stood up again, Jacob was right behind me. I made the wrong choice of looking into his eyes. He was so beautiful. Everything about him was perfect. Well, almost everything.
I didn't feel that pull to him anymore, where I want to steal a glance at him every chance I get, and where I wish he would just hold me close to him.
Jacob walked closer to me. I backed up. He stepped even closer. I attempted to back up, but my back rammed painfully and loudly into a locker. I winced in pain and Jacob took a final step closer to me.
Before I could stop him he was kissing me. I tried to push him off, but I have no muscles and he is made entirely of them. I squirm around and try to slide under his arms, but to no avail.
I saw some movement behind Jacob, and then, I was thrown to the ground. Well, I was more pushed away, but, being the clumsy person I am, I tripped on my feet and fell, hitting my head in the process.
I fought the remain consciousness. The person who pushed me out of the way took the opportunity in which Jacob was surprised I got away and wanted to get away, and punched him square in the jaw.
They continued the fight for a few moments before my hero thought through a way to end this quickly, and kneed Jacob in a, um, sensitive region.
Jacob collapsed to the ground and just moaned quietly. He looked absolutely pathetic. I looked up to see who had saved me when the world turned black.
