mingyu spent the rest of the day by wonwoo's side to try and help the boy feel better. it had to have been tough watching your best friend get beat up and be taken away by a bunch of nurses,

especially with how badly junhui got hurt. seeing your friend get beat up is one thing, but seeing him almost get killed is a whole other thing.

mingyu couldn't imagine how he felt, he didn't want to make this about himself and act like he's only doing this to get closer to wonwoo, he was really genuinely concerned and cared about how the boy felt.

he was happy him and wonwoo finally talked, but he hated it had to be because of this.

he hated how absolutely idiotic minghao was.

——————

"can you come with me to the hospital?" wonwoo asked mingyu, who was holding his hand.

"of course," mingyu said, squeezing wonwoo's hand in attempt to comfort the still stressed boy. mingyu noticed that wonwoo's face was slightly painted red, but he didn't know whether it was from him liking mingyu, or if it was from his concern about junhui.

"hey," chan said, wonwoo and mingyu turned to look at the boy. "is it okay if i go with you guys? i don't really wanna go home, i don't wanna be by myself. and i wanna see how junhui is doing,"  what chan said wasn't exactly true, but it wasn't exactly a lie either.

chan's parents really were never home his entire life, so it's not like this was new to him. he didn't mind being alone, but that wasn't the real reason he wanted to go. it was because he wanted to see junhui, he really thought the boy was cute. and, since chan had basically saved him from being hurt and further, he thought that junhui may want to see him.

he watched as mingyu looked at wonwoo for confirmation. wonwoo looked at chan and pursed his lips into a smile before nodding. chan smiled brightly and speed walked until he was next to mingyu's side.

"do you have a car?" chan asked, mingyu simply nodded.

"of course, we're not going to the hospital through public transportation, assuming that's okay with wonwoo?" mingyu said, turning his head to look at the older, who was currently fidgeting with his glasses.

wonwoo looked at the boy upon hearing his name, "oh- uh, yes that's okay!" mingyu put his arm around him and brought him close, smiling the entire time.

this movement made wonwoo completely red. and that did not go unnoticed by chan, chan just smiled at how cute it was to see wonwoo react that way to such a small gesture.

————-

junhui woke up confused. he couldn't remember anything except minghao saying "maybe that'll get his gay ass off my back," before he passed out,

he slowly lifted his arm up to feel his head, which hurt like a bitch. junhui looked around the room for his phone, when he found it he turned on the camera.

he saw the bandage on his head and his eyes widened as the memories slowly came back to him.

tears stung his eyes as he remembered all the rude things minghao said to him, all the fear he felt whenever minghao got on top of him and hurt him.

that's a feeling he'll never forget.

he just hopes that wonwoo didn't blame himself for what happened, what happened wasn't his fault. junhui didn't have to try and talk to minghao, but he did.

he loved minghao, and as much as he wish he didn't, he still does. but at the same time, he hates minghao right now.

junhui felt tears begin to fall down his face as he remembered the events that recently took place, and he frantically tried to get it to stop. he kept his hands on his face as he cried, just in case someone would walk in.

although, that wouldn't help anything as you could hear his cries from outside the room.

————

"hello, we're here for patient wen junhui?" mingyu said to the nurse,

"we're not sure if he's woken up yet, so when you go into his room please do it one at a time so if he wakes up he doesn't get overwhelmed. i'm sure he's in a fragile state of mind and may not remember everything right away," the nurse explained before giving the boys the room number.

"how about you go in first," mingyu said to wonwoo, who eagerly nodded his head before repeating the room numbers over and over under his breath so he wouldn't forget.

as wonwoo neared junhui's room, he heard crying. wonwoo really hoped it wasn't coming from jun, he hated hearing his best friend in such pain.

wonwoo knocked on junhui's door before walking in, he watched as junhui wiped his tears quickly before flashing a weak smile to wonwoo.

wonwoo couldn't stop the tears from coming out.

he quickly rushed over to junhui's bed before hugging him softly, trying to be considerate for anywhere he may be hurt. "i'm so glad you're okay, jun," wonwoo said through his tears,

junhui wrapped his free arm around wonwoo, feeling the tears coming back. "don't cry wonwoo, i'm okay," he said softly,

"i'm so sorry, it's all my fault," wonwoo said, looking up to junhui, "please don't cry, it'll make me feel even worse!"

junhui wiped wonwoo's tears, "please don't feel bad for what happened, it's not your fault woo."

wonwoo looked at junhui with saddened eyes as he went in to hug him again.

———-

"hey, mingyu," chan started, looking up from the ground to mingyu.

"hm?"

"do you like wonwoo?" chan asked, bending down a little to try and see mingyu's reaction to his question.

"um, well... yeah, i do. but please don't tell minghao. or anyone for that matter, you know how he reacted to junhui," mingyu said slowly.

chan nodded his head, "i could tell," he heard mingyu laugh quietly, "do you want to tell me about him? feel free to go on as long as you want, who knows how long wonwoo is gonna be there with junhui."

and that one sentence is what made mingyu go on for what felt like hours talking about every little thing about wonwoo that he loved, even the little things that wouldn't get noticed by anyone else.
