My mind is caving in, I'm scared but I pretend.
Inside my mind.
My perfect prison, paradise.
I'm going to fucking lose my mind.
...Deceit lying behind every faulty smile.
I wake up to blaring sirens passing my house, Henry watching the news on my television.
"Henry?" I yawned.
"What's going on?"
"A Hawkins student was murdered last night," he sighed.
"What?!" I say with a shocked expression lying across my eyes and my lips.
"Did they say who?" I say.
"Not, yet," he says.
"---But I think it's at Munson's trailer."
"Do you think he killed the student?." I say.
"Holy shit." I breath out.
"I don't know yet, but let's not let it ruin our day, yeah?" He smiles.
"Yeah." I force a smile in return.
He pecks my lips and smiles.
A few loud taps sounding at my front door.
My parents weren't home so Henry could come downstairs as well.
I open the door to see Dustin, and Max.
...
They barge into my living room, "Hey!" I gasp as I'm pushed out of the way, "I think Eddie's in trouble," Dustin says as he's panting heavily.
"How bad?" I say.
"Bad." Max says.
"Jesus," I breath out.
"He's definitely suspect number one, where is he right now?"
"We don't know," they say in unison.
"Jesus," I repeat.
"Should we warn the others?" Henry suggests.
"Right away," Dustin says.
"Let's get a move on then, yeah?" Henry says.
"Let's go." I say.
We grab few walkie-talkies and flashlights, and a single radio.
For whatever we may need them for, and hop into my vehicle.
We speed over to family video, hurrying inside, knowing damn well Jason and his little jock friends were already on the chase aswell.
The bell rings as we step inside of the video store, Dustin walks over to Steve, who's sitting atop of the counter.
"Hey, Steve."
"You guys see this?" Steve asks, pouinting at the television against the wall.
"How many phones do you have?" Dustin asks.
"Someone was murdered," Steve says.
"How, many, phones, do you, have?!" Dustin repeats himself, in frustration.
"W- uh, two, why?" He says, glancing over at Robin.
"Uh, technically three, if you count the case in the back." Robin says.
"Okay, three works," Max nods at Dustin, who is already throwing his bag down over the counter, "Woah!" Steve shouts.
"Hey! My pile!" Robin says.
"No, no, no, no, my tapes!" Steve screeches, as Dustin knocks over his tapes, the tapes falling to the floor harshly.
"What are you doing?!" He screeches once more, in confusion.
"Setting up base of operations here." Dustin announces.
"Base of operations?!" Robin asks.
"Stop, get off of that." Steve says.
"No, I need it." Dustin says.
"Need it for what?" Steve says angrily.
"I need Eddie's friend's phone numbers." He explains.
"Oh Eddie, your new best friend Eddie, who thinks he's cooler than me because he plays your nerdy game."
"Ugh," Dustin groans.
"I never said that." He argues."Seriously, guys."
"Maybe on a monday, you guys can parade in here like toddlers but, it's saturday, this is our busiest day." Robin explains.
"Robin, I totally emphasize, but this cannot wait until monday!" He says.
"What, because calling all of Eddie's friends is an emergency?" She argues.
"Correct." He shouts.
"So, do you want me to strangle him or do you wanna do it?" Steve asks.
"We can take turns." Robin suggests, forcing a smile.
"Can you just fill them in, while I do this?" Dustin asks Max.
She looks at him, sighing in frustration.
"Ugh, fine." She groans.[...]
